Hating the left and right
I hate blowhards who spend half their lives falling head-over-cock trying to thank any soldier they see for sacrificing for their country. Fuck you, you want to do something actually meaningful? Join the Army. Surprise -that might actually accomplish something. If you have to promote the idea that *you* support the troops, then you’re a piece of shit. Take that stupid yellow ribbon off you car -nobody cares about how you express your political opinions on a car decal that was made in China. Even more so, I hate people who spend their every waking minute hating on us for being in Iraq. Yeah, we went there for some stupid ass reasons. No shit we’re there for the oil. Don’t act like you made a huge discovery by realizing that we’re obsessed with that worthless section of our planet because of a bunch of decayed organic matter. We’re not there for the sand, or the people. Any truthful person would recognize that ultimately, they couldn’t care less about the Iraqis. I don’t. I know I don’t because I’ve seen a million of those “donate a dollar a day to feed a child for a decade” commercials, and didn’t move an inch. Maybe you know we’re there for the oil and yet you’re all for it anyways. Screw you, going to war to find more of a limited resource only reinforces the idea that this shit is limited. And stop with those fake ass Army commercials. What you do in the Army isn’t in slow motion, its not set to dramatic music, and it doesn’t make you a better person. Instead, show some people in combat, show basic training -stop appealing to the jesus freak redneck, or the person who thinks the military will give them “direction and purpose.” You should be advertising to those who want the yelling and pushups, who deep down want to kill some terrorists. Most people aren’t doing it for nationalism, but for who being a soldier is the point. Your stupid little patriotism is an insult to the pride in simply being a soldier. Don’t turn me, or anybody else, into a pawn for your worthless left/right dishonest politics.

1Most of the women in this country don't care to join the army and have you ever noticed that most of the ribbons you see supporting the troops are on minivans? Did you ever stop to think that maybe those women have boyfriends or husbands in the military? Or perhaps they're men who used to be in the military but are retired. Or maybe they're guys that didn't join the military because they went to college.
I agree with a lot of what you said, but ragging on people that support the military in other ways besides actually joining the Army is kinda dumb.
