My Aunts are the wicked stepsisters
My grandparents raised me and my aunts who grew up with me often taunted me and made a sisters club which they would use to exclude me. I'm excluded from everything and at my grandfathers funeral, I had to sit behind them. They would not allow me in the front row with the sisters. I hate them, I always find out family news from a third party (my horrible mother). Why can't I just leave them. Why do I keep trying. It's sick and I need to stop. Quit being so sentimental. They're not family if they won't accept me.

1Just wait for something real bad to happen to them like they get a disease, owe a lot of money, thrown in jail, or in a serious accident or something. Then you can give them a big "fuck you".
Nasty thing to do, but they'll shape up real quick.

6People feel connected to family. It's very natural. Don't beat yourself up over not being able to cut ties. People can change, but not everyone does. The trick is to learn not to internalize the pain. Tough as hell to do, but it is possible. You may have more success limiting contact than trying to pretend they don't exist. Take control of the contact and of your feelings. Chances are, they're torturing you because they're jealous or because they hurt too much themselves. Keep your chin up and find people who do care to be close to.
