Comfort of control
Shit.Good way to start off a rant, right?
I'm just really tired of not being able to do anything about gas that costs $4 a goddamn gallon. Even more, it bothers me that nobody can do anything about the thousands of dying soldiers/civilians caused by the decisions of assgoblins we call our "leaders".
So many are numb and indifferent to all of these DYING PEOPLE. So many would rather support their own stupid effort to buy a brand spankin' new Blu-Ray player.
And the only people who have control over making any changes seem to be completely inhuman.
Ultimately, it worries me how comfortable everybody is with the way our society has stopped advancing in a positive direction. We all seem a little bit lost.
.. I'm here, are you?

Every time I drive by a gas station and see that the prices have gone up again I can't believe how we're all getting fucked and can't do anything about it. Have any of you seen the profits the big oil companies are making?

We live in a Capitalistic Economy, which promotes the practice of 'save yourself' thinking, on top of that, humans are selfish things, and im going to tell you right now, if i dont see an immediate gain on my side, ill probably not do anything
The problem with gas is that there is NOTHING you yourself can do about it. Gas is a finite good, as soon as the Supply becomes low, the price will rise because the demand has stayed constant.
Dont worry about the war, those soldiers are over there because they want to be.. They train and train and train, and you want to take away from them the only chance they have to really do their work.

We (and by that I mean the Western consumer) have been sending most of our money to Asia and the Middle East for years. Now these "developing" nations have the hunger for consumerism, which means more competition for resources. Sometime in the next 10 years, China will surpass the U. S. in petroleum consumption. So with the diminished supply comes rising prices. The next thing that's going to hit us will be shrinking supplies of food and fresh water. Right now it's only the Third-World countries rioting and suffering famine, but barring any sudden decrease in population, how long can we have before it hits here?

Oh sure, 2 and the 1, 000, 000 dead civilians and the 1, 600, 000 forced to flee their home chose it too, did they? Fuck you.

I'm sensing a little bit of sarcasm from #2's last remark.
Hopefully.
Because I'm horrified to find out that so many people are willing to fight and kill for something so stupid.
