Gay Rights
I sit here now behind a table selling LGBT rights shirts, and i so bad want to purchase one and wear it proudly for all to see that though i am not gay i support their equality. problem is, i am very religious and all my friends are the conservative religious type while I am the "liberal one". I am afraid to announce my pride because I know I will be judged and I know it will spark debates, and im sick of the debates and the arguments we already have over things....Rating:0.00

1Dude, come out of the closet. If you feel the need to show your "pride" you're gay. I'm all for gay rights but I ain't marching in parades or wearing pride t-shirts.

2#1 you're a dumbass. It doesn't have to be about showing your own personal pride about being gay if you're not. It's about demonstrating acceptance and support, but if you think of no one but yourself I can't expect you to understand.
OP, maybe to need to find a new church and new friends.

4I go to a Presbyterian church and I still support gay rights. You know, Jesus never actually says anything against homosexuality. You know why? Jesus doesn't care if you're gay. He still loves you. And so should Christians. Christians are supposed to love people, not judge them. If people at your church are judging you like that, you should educate them in the true meaning of Christianity.
Ad as Jesus said in multiple gospels, God will judge you as you judge others.

5I support women's rights too but I don't wear a t-shirt with tits on it to prove it.

6So you can sell the shirts and your congregation will not think less of you, but if you were to wear one they would? I guess I can sort of see that. You religious types are harder to understand than a woman sometimes.

7I support gay rights, I'd wear a shirt that supports it, and I am straight.

8unethical
disgusting
illogical
inhuman
averse to nature
TOTALLY BASED ON EMOTION
being gay is like a man born with a fetish for little girls... He needs to either fight it, or be drowned in it. And in todays world, we are so fucked up on thinking that love and happiness are the most important things that we just lose the big picture.

9I am Presbyterian. I dont really care if you are gay. I go to a catholic college, and they have an active LGBT group. Im not gay, so I cant really tell you personally how it works, but it seems to me that it is more of an inner struggle than anything the outside world is putting on you. I dont put moral judgments on people. (let he who is without sin cast the first stone) All I am saying is that I really dont give a shit as long as you are not hitting on me after I tell you I am straight. People in religous environments make it work. The kid who lives in the apartment below me is gay, and when it snowed like a motherfucker he was there with a shovel helping me to dig my car out. Who the hell am I to turn around and tell him who he can and cannot love? he helped me out when I needed it, that is all that I care about.
Will you take some shit because you are gay? Probably. Will you take some shit because you are not being yourself and you are hiding something? Probably. You are going to take shit either way- so you might as well be yourself. Most people really dont care as much as you think

10I don't think this person is gay, mostly just afraid of being judged for supporting gay rights which is a traditionally taboo thing amongst most groups of Christians. My advice would be to get over it and be who you want to be because God's opinion is the only one that really matters.

12OK if I were to believe in god, and I'm not sure I do, i would think that god created homosexuality. Just like he created disease and death, as a form of population control.

13I personally believe that homosexuality is a sin and a choice. but I believe tha people should have the right to make that choice.
The last commandment that Jesus gave was to love each other so... give people a break, show your support for GLBT rights and damn the people who judge you (literally.)
God says in Leviticus that homosexuality is an abomination, but the bible also says that God hates liars. And yet everyone from the lisping child to the President of the United States lies and no one blinks an eye!
Judge not lest ye be judged.

14Yeah, using the Old Testament to back up Christian belief... that makes perfect sense....

15Bullshit it's a choice. Read a little essay by Michael Levin (a well-known anti-homosexual philosopher) entitled "Homosexuality, Abnormality, and Civil Rights." Even he admits that it is genetic. (He's wrong about everything else, however).
Fucking ignorant morons.
