Melodramatic Parents
Why do parents have to be so darn melodramatic? Who really cares that your kid lost their backpack? Buy another one, stupid-they're cheap! Just because the girls in the class talk to every boy but yours doesn't mean they're picking on him! Not everything is about you! Just get over yourself and PLEASE move your child to another school like you keep threatening to do-I don't have time to hold your kid's hand and be their best friend! I have 200 kids to teach this damn material to and make sure they learn it before standardized testing!

1Word. Parents that do everything to protect their children aren't doing them any favours. I work with children, and I am shocked by parental reactions when a child is disciplined, or if inappropriate behavior is reported.
It never seems to be a case of talking to your kid and telling them to behave, its more of a, but what about that other kid.
Deal with yours and their issues, stop worrying about everyone else. Your kid isn't perfect, no one is.

3Bookbags may seem cheap but when it's the difference between dinner or a new bookbag I'd prefer the kid get dinner that night. I really hope you will consider a new career path because it sounds like you really shouldn't be teaching - and I've been in education for about 15 years.

5For the record, for these parents it's NOT a choice between a new backpack and dinner. And I'm not a horrible teacher... Even this parent will say I'm a very good teacher. The whole point of this website is to vent, correct?

6Quit. Better yet, quit and then kill yourself, seeing as how you've poisoned an entire generation of children unfortunate enough to have had you as their teacher. You suck, and I hope that you die.
