Drug problem
So several years ago I noticed that the girl my friend was dating might have had a drug problem. There were subtle little hints here and there. For instance, she would use a pen to make tally marks on her arm so she could remember how many xanbars she had eaten. And then should would drink. Washing down 5 to 7 xanbars with jack daniels isnt a good thing.So after being a total dick to me for even bringing it up, my friend finally realized after about a year that she had a problem. I dont think it was so much that he gave a shit as it was that he was fucking a new girl and wanted to ditch the first one.
So he called her parents and told her that she had a drug problem and was gonna die soon. They put her in rehab. In rehab, she was diagnosed as bipolar, and given a prescription for.... you guessed it- xanax.
So she comes out of rehab with a legitimate prescription for her drug of choice and begins smoking meth.
What the fuck is wrong with her? What the fuck is wrong with my buddy? What the fuck is wrong with a rehab that gives prescriptions for xanax when your personal record is 10 bars in a day. Goddamnit i fucking hate people.

hey man I suffer from addiction and it's a g-d awful disease. It is absolutely horrible to watch it destroy a dear friend's life but the best you can do is be there for her and maybe talk to her more often. Suggest going to Narcotics Anonymous/Alcoholics Anonymous. Those rooms work miracles, I'm a walking miracle because of it. And you can also hold an intervention for the girl so she can really see how it's destroying not only her own life but those around her and send her to a different rehab which will be more effective.

A friend of mine had something similar, he was depressed and it was mainly due to family problems and abuse. But instead of suggesting therapy or a support group, his doctor wrote him one prescription after another. He ended up trying suicide, though it wasn't a serious attempt. He's still pretty messed up but at least ditched the abusive relatives.

How about instead of crying about it, you go to the dr. or "clinic" that prescribed her xanny and tell them she's had an outstanding problem with it. maybe then with some background that wasn't from the addict they would find another way to treat her

First off, she didnt get xannys from a random clinic, she got the WHILE IN REHAB. Secondly, I really dont give a shit about her, and am not all that interested in "helping" her. I only knew her through him and she was a royal bitch. Maybe if I had known her for myself, or if she had ever had a kind word for me, maybe I would care. However, she was mean to me, and now she is smoking meth. I want nothing to do with her. Fuck her dumb ass. I just think it is sorta funny that she goes to rehab and gets her drug of choice

Oh my God! Users being enable by those who are supposed to be helping them. Tehehe, so funny. Such a wonderful and benevolant world we live in. This site is supposed to be about people bitching about the unfair things life throws their way. It seems, though, that whinny asshats are taking it over.
