Stupid sister never lets me play my drums.
So, I had been asking for a drum set for about four months. My school wouldn't let me use their equipment unless I joined band, which would be a hassle. My mom literally makes less than $1000 a month since her business partner left last year. It was a real stretch for her to buy me a $700 set. My dad is helping us pay for it and I can't expect any presents for Christmas. But I can deal with that.The problem is my stupid bitch sister. I'll save myself several hours of ranting by focusing on only one of the many things she does: she bitches at me incessantly whenever I play my new set. I play one note on the bass and she's shouting, "Oh my God, you fucking cunt. You're so annoying. Shut the fuck up." I generally try to disregard her comments, but when I play my drums she just keeps coming back and bitching. God forbid anyone else in the house wants to do something other than go on myspace and listen to shitty music for ten hours.
People always tell me to ignore her, but I just can't enjoy myself when her disgusting, grating voice keeps nagging at me. I've tried to compromise with her before, telling her as much as two fucking days in advance that I need to play for just an hour. She'll say it's fine, but ten minutes into practicing, she'll start the whining again.
I'm a lot stronger than her, I know that, but I refrain from doing anything physical because I don't want to be barbaric. I only punched her once about a year ago and she was crying for half an hour, so I obviously shouldn't beat her up, but the urge is strong. Every time she bitches I want to smash her ugly face into the fucking wall. It was such a pain in the ass for my family to afford the set in the first place, and now I can't enjoy it unless she's gone.

3haha, bro, i have the EXACT same issue eccept its with my brother.
1. Get some drum mufflers.
they work great.
and they keep the pesky porkers away while you can still practice at your loudest.
2. lock your door, if you dont have a lock, get a chair and put it on its back legs and wedge it under the door handle. then take some towels and put them in the crack between the bottom of the door and the floor. close your windows and start playing LOUD, so you cant hear you sister screaming. eventually she will give up. just dont let her come into your room/ the room where the drumset is.
and when your paerents ask, tell them that you just wanted to play and accually get good at the drums so that they were worth the price. and your sister wasnt letting you.

@ 3: Thanks for the advice. I was thinking of getting mufflers, but I wasn't sure if they'd work too well. Yeah... I've got to do something to tune her out.
@ 4: I'm pretty sure she is, but she asks to buy some new shit literally almost every day (and usually gets it despite us not having money to waste on her) so I don't see why she has to suddenly want what I have.
