Horse Racing
The recent Kentucky derby as reignited my hate for horse racing and even more intense hate that they call it a sport!Strapping a midget or leprecon to a horse is not a sport! Not to mention how many horses they kill. 700 are put down per year just from races, not to mention trainging etc.
Then the bit I love the hick trainers and owners come out and talk about how much the horses love it and live for it. I mean who doesn't like being whipped, poked and electricuted and being forced to jerk off into a sock??
I say when a horse has to be put down because of an acident in a race that the midget jockey should be put down with him. Or maybe yet strap the fucken horse to the back of the trainer and make him finish the race... Sounds fair??

1i totally agree!!!! My aunt and I don't even talk anymore because of a HUGE fight over horse racing... she believes that's what God made them for! Can you believe it?!?!? I told her that God made them to be free like you and me!

3Do you think dog racing is any more humane? Dogs are regularly put down by the thousands, (and most are healthy), as soon as they stop winning they just become an inconvenience to be discarded. The whole animal exploitation for sport thing sucks.

9Someone doesn't know much about the industry. The fact is the animals do enjoy the running, just like a retriever likes to fetch, and the animals are treated extremely well. Eight Belles was unfortunate but horses legs are just so thin for their big bodies that broken limbs happen often, and they simply don't recover so the only humane thing to do is to put them down. The trainers usually love the animals they work with and have nothing but kind things to say to them. Electric prods are simply not used often and the whips aren't don't hard enough to hurt the horse.
Also: Jockies are extremely nice, normal people. It's not that weird to fined a five foot tall man.
Seriously, go to Keeneland some day and just talk to the trainers and what not, you'll see how much they love the animals.

10It is weird to find a 5' tall man. I'm a 5' tall woman and I've probably encountered thousands of people in my life and have never seen a man as short as me. Maybe 5'4 or so but I've never seen a grown man as tiny as me.
