Republican
I am a Republican... most of my good friends are Democrats. It really bothers me when they generalize and say Republicans are all racist, gun-loving, hicks then look at me and go " Well, not you, you're not like that". Way to completely generalize an entire side of the political sprectrum. By doing that, you are destroying your oh-so-liberal point of view, where everyone is accepted because diversity is the spice of life, right? When you say idiotic things like that you look like a hypocrite. I could turn around and call you all communist, welfare-loving hippies... Sure there are extremes whether you be conservative or liberal, but don't make me out to be the bad guy just because I'm a Republican. I wasn't even old enough to vote in the last election!Rating:0.00

2Yeah, well, you'd be stunned at the number of republicans who feel perfectly entitled to negatively generalize about liberals. Perhaps make sure your side is in line before bitching about ours.

4I am agnostic. I don't own a gun. I live in an urban setting. I'm even a musician. And yet, I am a Republican. I oppose universal healthcare because it is a fiscally irresponsible policy, not because it would raise my taxes, even though it most certainly would. I have to say that putting healthcare in the hands of the government, which changes leadership every 4 or 8 years, would be an error due to partisan quabbles over the operation of said system. As it is, leadership in healthcare operation is much more stable. I would not want to have an affliction that requires ongoing care, and have the policies regarding my care and financing my care change every 4 years. Universal healthcare would be ideal, but so would a socialist utopia.

9^ And if your political choices have their way, you will be sucking their dick right after making them dinner and cleaning their house. If they fuck up and get you pregnant, it is ok because they will sell the kid down the river

11hoyl shit, the libs are fired up about this post... Re-read what the post is talking about... It is basically saying that liberals stereotype conservatives as less-than intelligent, gun-owning, church-going, greedy bastards... But by stereotyping conservatives, libs are hypocrites, becasue liberals decry stereotyping. Liberals say "you should, as MLK said, judge them by the content of their character." But when libs see a conservative, they judge him on his political affiliation, not the content of his character. It's a double standard, and I dont give a fuck if you call me a Republican douchebag, the person that wrote this post is right. You're mindset is that pro-life, pro-gun people, religious people are idiot hicks... More than half of this country fits that description, and the majority of them are good people, just as the majority of libs are good people. Bottom line... Double standard by the libs.

12by the way democrats, your party is useless. You (a) failed to beat the most unpopular president in modern history in 2004, (b) are f-ing up your chances at the '08 elections, whcih should have been a slam dunk (c) failed to get the troops out of Iraq, which was what people elected you for in '06, (d) killed Bush's Social Security plan, but failed to offer an alternative, leaving us still fucked. I am not blaming the Democrat citizens, I am blaming the Dem leadership. Pelosi is the worst speaker you could ever ask for... How can any of you be behind her? And Dean is the worst DNC head of all time. I respect your Democrat views, that's the beauty of a democracy, but can anyone tell me... How do you still support Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean?

14You know, universal health care is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a very very good thing. You think the insurance companies are a better choice than the government? Seriously, health care is the US is some of the worst in the developed world. And worse than some developing countries. Besides, people in socialized systems are some of the happiest people in the world.

15^ Right 100%
Besides, what's wrong with being a communist, welfare loving hippie? I'd rather be an extreme democrat stereotype than an extreme republican stereotype. Or any kind of republican, for that matter.
