Neighbors Suck

I've lived in about 4 or 5 different places and I've only had like 2 good neighbors out of all the dozens of people I've lived around.

First there was the 90-ish year old lady who lived in the apartment directly under me. She would go truly apeshit because she said I walked too loud and it bothered her so much she threatened to call the cops if I did it again. I weigh like 110 lbs I don't think my walking around in a normal fashion was causing her that much fucking distress. It's not my fault she chose to live in a crappy building with paper thin walls and floors.

Then there was the guy who looked completely normal. On my third day there we had a nice, friendly chat. Then he says "oh, I see you have a dog, I guess that's alright but I don't want to smell any dog feces when I'm out on my patio" I replied "oh, well then, would you like me to come out every morning and spray febreze around the fenceline?" He walked away and never spoke to me again for the entire two years I lived there.

And the people whose only purpose in life was to harass me about how often I cut my grass and the manner in which I organized my trash on the curb every week.

Currently I live next to a crack shack full of 15 year old wannabe thugs. They are the neighborhood gas thieves. But none of them have cars so they're either huffing it or selling it? Maybe both.

Everyone I know has a neighbor horror story. Why can't people just mind their own fucking business and let other people mind theirs? It's simple.

I totally agree . Sometimes I wish I was rich and could buy my own island. Crack heads are taking over the planet. Every night, gunshots, cops, drug traffic , fighting and cussing and yelling with no respect for themselves or for others. And what about those baggy pants they wear so they can conceal shotguns in their pants? I am sick of seeing men with thier pants down all the time and showing off thier boxers. I have even seen dude's full blown buttocks. The real white trash ppl wear thier pants way to low exposing whiteytighties. Ack!

What has happened to this planet? I remember when ppl wore clothing in public and drugs weren't cool. Also it does seem that crime pays as my neighbors, are career criminals who have robbed so many houses in our neighborhood, in the course of a month after they moved in, 24 homes have vacated the neighborhood, us included, we are moving out in a few days. God, help us all.

I moved into a "diverse" neighborhood about 6 years ago. The people I've had the most issues with are the "wiggers" and plain old white trash. The blacks and Hispanics here, except for a couple who drive these crapped-out boom box cars, have been pretty decent to live with. But the stupid white kids are the thieves and vandals.

Thank goodness we have a new mayor who is making the city codes people crack down a little more and get some of these slummy areas cleaned up. In a time of plunging property values, it helps a little. Now if they could just get the cops to leave the 7-11 parking lot and actually patrol at night, things might get better.

Number 1, I remember when people spelled "people" correctly, not "ppl."

Having lived in several bad neighborhoods in my yrs gone by, I truely empathize with those who are complaining here about neighbors. Now I live in a better neighborhood, and though the class of neighbors are better,(very low crime, no "open" drug problems), I still end up with an occasional bad neighbor, mostly renters. It is not always easy to afford the better places to live, but I think if low income working people would perhaps drive older, cheaper cars, and curbing other extravagant possessions, they could perhaps be more easily able to move into better neighborhoods, where the neighbors behave a little better. Like, no boom boxes, whether in homes or cars, no dealers on the corners, no wife-beaters or alcaholics disturbing the peace. Your home should be your number one investment.
