Fucking moron mechanics

Why are auto mechanics a bunch of fucking idiots!!!! They think they can shaft anyone that comes into their shop(s). I love putting those fucking idiots into their place when I know what is going on and they try to feed me some other bullshit! I think there should be a law that if they try to stiff us, we are allowed to kick the shit out of them right then and there!!!! I hope an auto-mechanic reads this and decides to take his head out of his ass and become a decent person and not try to fuck everyone that walks into his/her shop. What goes around comes around you fucking cock-suckers!!!!!

I know!! half of those fucking shops are run by criminals. They act like they have some kind of great knowledge and they are doing you a favor for figuring out whats wrong with your simple machine. If I was interested in cars, I would learn about them, and how to fix any simple problem with them, in about two months.. They act like its the most difficult piece of equipment to figure out in the universe, and they can charge whatever outrageous amounts of money they want to fix your car - improperly. Truth is, most of them are morons that don't even know how to read.

I would be offended, but I must not know how to read....

Learning to fix simple problems,, yes, you could learn in about 2 months but, what about the time when you're car is reading .2mV-.6mV on the O2 PID and you don't understand what's going on?

I spent 12 years (shudders) in an auto repair garage.
I got out because I got sick of getting cut up, burned, bruised and breaking fingers to fix the damned things - all the while the customer wants a discount.

You don't just pay for the parts.
You pay for the know-how to install those parts and why it needs to be replaced in the first place.
You also pay to said cuts, bruises and broken bones that go unmentioned (unless the customer is waiting and the guy loses a finger and is rushed to the hospital).

I got out because of cynicism, as well.

I hated putting that much effort into it and then be called a crook.
But, you can go to the doctor and he'll see you for 15 minutes and you'll pay $45 as you leave, just to have the meds not work, and you're right back to him a week later gettting a new prescriptio - and a new $45 without complaint.

Then, you've got the shop down the street employing kids who can't even drive yet to lower the prices on repairs for the rest of us to compete.

I hated working on your crappy cars.
You beat them to shit and then blame us for them breaking down.

I once found a used tampon under the passenger seat of a girl's car.....

    Some people are pigs.

Obviously this rant is an over generalization. There are good cops and bad cops; good doctors and bad doctors; good lawyers and.... nah, my bad on that one, but anyway, not all mechanics are bad. I'm sure the vast majority are honest people making a living repairing our vehicles and where would we be without them? Sure, I can fix a lot of things on my car, but I don't have the time and can't fix everything.

I take my new cars to the dealership when they're under warranty, but I go to an excellent auto repair shop for out of warranty work and the man that runs the company is as honest as the day is long and employs some top mechanics. He has a wall in his waiting area that is covered with letters of appreciation.

I would pay to see the mechanic that replied to this vent meet up with the guy that posted it. I would just imagine he could own your ass with his knuckles and mind. Learn to do it yourself or shut the fuck up you snivling pussy.

Beware the "service writer" if you go to a name brand dealership - these guys make commission off what they get you to buy. They'll sell you snake-oil like brake system flushes, oil and fuel additives. Best bet, only go there for warranty repairs, get your oil changes and tires from a reputable neighborhood shop. As long as you keep up the scheduled maintenance and keep receipts your warranty will NOT be voided, much as the dealership would like to make you believe.

I think even mechanics would agree that finding a good, honest one can be difficult. But they ARE out there. Ask your friends, co-workers, anyone you trust, if they know of one.

I was lucky enough to find one several years ago, and have sent him so much business through word of mouth that he gives me deep discounts on labor rates.
