So, you decide to come up to me and give me your phone number at work. You're a shy guy and this is a huge step for you... I can understand that! You got dumped by your fiance this past year... I get that too! But you hang around me all the time, you gaze at me like I'm some sort of sexy steak... And then when I call you, you make me feel like an idiot! When I asked you to go to the movies and I got the "Let's just be friends for now" conversation, I wanted to stab you in the eye with a pen! What in the hell did you give me your phone number for then? And since when are friends not allowed to go watch a movie together? I just wanted to see sodding "Iron Man", not go down on you in the back row!I have no clue what your problem is, but I'm through worrying about it. You confuse me, and I despise that... Hopefully you pull your head out of your ass sometime soon.

1First of all, if he had a fiance, giving you his phone number was probably not "a huge step." Secondly, what exactly is his situation with her? Perhaps they are back together. Perhaps he was fighting with her and hoping that you would call and make her jealous. It sounds like you probably are not giving this guy enough credit. Perhaps he even has more game than you. (Or maybe he wanted a girl that would go down on him in the back row, and figured it out that you did not fit the bill.)

4^fuck you asshole, that is my move. I feel it is less intrusive than asking for her number. If she is interested, she will call. If she is not interested, she doesnt have to worry about saying no or making up a fake number

54: Exactly. When I was in the hunt, I used the same modus operandi. The woman thought it was interesting at first that I didn't ask but, after explaining why, she understood and respected it. As it turns out, it worked.. we're getting married in OCT. :)

From here on out, I'm giving MY phone number first... Anything otherwise is just far too stressful to deal with. Let him call me if he wants me. For right now, I'll just work on finding out the truth about this guy... There are far too many mixed signals going on. I'd be surprised if he's up to something nefarious, but the first comment really made me think.
And... Strip steaks. Strip steaks. The best kind of steak there is.
