Gastric Bypass Surgery
I am an overweight person. I used to be obese and got tired of it so I went on a diet started exercising and lost 40 pounds and I am still losing weight. I am all for losing weight and for health, but what really pisses me off are people who get gastric bypass surgery and then eat exactly like they did before the surgery. Why even bother? The surgery is not a magic solution, in fact it slows your metabolism, so after you lose the weight you are processing food at a slower rate. If you need gastric bypass and you do it properly (diet and exercise along with the surgery) I have no problem. It's the people that get it, lose the weight, then start eating like five pizzas a day that piss me off. I was at the mall with some friends and one girl was talking about how she had got the surgery a few years back and couldn't understand why she was putting weight back on. She was eating four portions of chinese food. I just don't understand why some people are stupid and think that the surgery will solve all their problems. Diet and exercise are the best way to go no matter what anyone tells you.Rating:0.00

2Like those ridiculous commercials that tell you that you can eat anything you want a lose weight.
Well here's the thing. That food is so full of chemicals and drugs that fuck with your system that you really aren't any healthier overall, and in fact probably worse. Then when you lose the weight, you go back to eating the same shit and wonder why you get fat again. If you don't change your lifestyle and your attitude on a permanent basis, you will not lose weight permanently. Period.
Of course, you could start paying through the nose for their products again. I'm sure they'd be fine with that.

5Good for you for your weight loss! And really, anyone who believes in their miracle drugs or diets is just to fucking lazy to lose the weight and should probably just stick with being a fat ass. Sorry, but it's common sense-diet and exercise, even with surgery, are the only way.
And fuck diet pills. That Alli stuff helps your body not to absorb fat, but if you go over the amount of fat that pill can handle, it seeps out your ass. Is a little weight loss worth anal leakage? :P

6#5 - hahahaha, anal leakage! (okay, I'm immature, what can I say?)
Good work so far, keep it up. Its so fucking hard to take the weight off, but if you just stick with what took it off, unlike chinese food girl, you're all set.
Seriously, it ain't easy being fat, I commend you having the strength to lose the weight.

8Thanks for the complements, losing weight sucks but I do want to be healthy so I have to do it.
There is no miracle product that makes you lose weight, good ol' diet and exercise is the only healthy and safe way to lose weight.

9Good for you for losing weight. I'm 23 and started training in physical fitness at I'd guess 13. Getting started is the hardest part because it really is a matter of experience and finding out what works for you. Because of that, I always enjoy seeing people try, especially when they succeed. Fitness is a lifetime commitment, not something you buy or pick up. Keep up the good work. You are on the right track.
