Selfish boyfriend
Did you ever date someone where every time they give you a gift, it's really for themselves and not for you? I'm dating someone like that. Sure, I'd like to go to things he enjoys even if I'm not into them just to spend time with him, but what ticks me off is when he always acts like he's giving it to me as a gift.This guy makes about 5-10 times the amount I do, plus I have a ton of debt and 35K a year to pay in tuition, but in the interest if me not being dependent on anyone, we split all our shared bills 50/50 (we live together). Yesterday we go out to the bar and he leaves me with the whole check! I didn't have money to pay for it, so I had to put it on my card.
Last christmas he wanted to go to a show, and even though it was a show that HE would enjoy he offered to buy tickets for the both of us for my Xmas present. Not planning ahead, he didn't buy tickets in advance and found out they were more expensive at the door. (since he goes to shows al lhe time, it's not as if he didn't know this). He decides that it's not worth it: not that he doesn't have the money but just that he doesn't want to spend that much. So that was my present last christmas: him telling me that he was going to buy us tickets to this show that HE wanted to go to, but it was too expensive so he didn't.
I don't know what to do, I pay my own way and everything, but I can't afford to move out on my own at this time. I don't have a car so I have to be very picky about where I live, so I can get to school and work.
We've been together for a long time now, his selfishness is only growing stronger. I know that I don't want to spend the rest of my life with someone this selfish, so I want to break it off ASAP but I have to wait til I find a place for my cat and I. (I don't have anyone that lives close enough for me to live with them and still be able to get to school and work on my bike)

Tell him you want to buy some sexy lingerie for him to enjoy and bring him to the store. Try some on so he can enjoy seeing you in them, get a cartfull, then... Tell him it's too much and you don't want to spend that much money. Don't buy anything. Tell him it's his Christmas present.
Then move out so you're not living with this d-bag as soon as possible.
