People from Texas Seriously SUCK
I would really love to know why people from Texas find it necessary to tell you they're from Texas within 12 seconds of talking to them. It is fucking obnoxious. No one cares. You don't hear other people saying "Hi, nice to meet you. I grew up in South Dakota". Or "Well, since I'm from Vermont, I blahblahblah". On top of the fact that it's annoying, I really wish they would realize that being from Texas is probably the gayest fucking thing ever. If you grow up in NYC or LA, you have bragging rights. If you grow up in Texas, you're probably fat, lazy and Republican. And don't even get me started on their fucking annoying ass accents. I don't care if you're a god damn heart surgeon.. if you open your mouth and a southern accent comes out- you're a fucking idiot. We should pay Mexico to take Texas back, though I'm not sure there's enough money in the world for anyone to accept those uneducated, overconfident, backwoods fuckers. Oh, and another thing- I never want to hear "Don't mess with Texas" every again in my life. Please explain to me how you can "mess with" an entire state. I'm technically "from Texas" and not proud of it by any means, and the same goes for most everybody I know from texas under the age of 40. I may have a slight Texas accent, but not of my choosing, as it is just the way i learned to speak. Just as you probably speak with a bland ass accent, or even worse, another region such as Long Island or Boston or some crap like that.
people in Dallas can be just as arrogant as those in LA or NY.
oh, and uneducated? I'm sorry- apparently my accent voids the fact that i'll be going to Dartmouth in the fall to get my master's in English Lit...

15I've visited many parts of Texas and my sister live there and I've never found anything particularly interesting about the state but I don't begrudge someone's right to be proud of where they live if they choose.
