Avril Lavigne
Why do so many people hate Avril Lavigne. Shes a good musician and deserves to be were she is today.Its the same fucking excuse why people dislike her and it pisses me off.
"She was like the pop-punk skater girl and now shes all preppy and that..."
Fuck sake shes only human she was only 17 when she dressed like that. I thing the image was pretty much thrown on her to be some real individual.
Shes grown up and gotten more mature maybe people should accept that she 's not gonna be 17 forever.
Ok this might sound abit like im contradicting myself but her second album was the best one she dealt with some proper realife situations. The best damn thing aint exactly her best works but she has some good material in there.
If your really a fan of her then you will respect her wishes no matter what phases she goes through

I don't think many of these "artists" get to choose their image - it's all packaged by the music companies to sell product. They tell the performer how to dress, what songs to sing, what products to endorse, where to tour and what to say in their interviews. After the artist is used up they get tossed aside. About as close to a modern-day slave as you can get.

Just ask yourself this. Would she have been considered talented enough as an artist prior to music videos? Highly unlikely.
If your and Avril Lavigne fan, that's cool. But she isn't nearly as talented as you make her out to be.
And this is coming from her hometown of Napanee.
