Oh dear God...
Late last night, I dropped by best friend off at the airport and was driving home (taking the back roads with very few street lights), and some random guy ran across the street. I have no idea where he came from because I was literally in the middle of nowhere. Oddly enough, the back roads leading to the airport are much faster than taking the interstate, but they are kinda dark/creepy. Anyway, I couldn't stop in time because it was so dark, and he was black and wearing dark clothing. I hit him, he rolled over my windshield, and fell face first on the ground. I got out of my car, ran over to him, but he was unconcious. He had no pulse. I tried dialing 911, but in the middle of the call, MY BATTERY DIED! Nobody else was around, I was way out in the middle of nowhere, and the guy didn't even have a phone on him (or ID). I didn't know what to do, so I left him and drove to find the nearest gas station or place of residence, but on the way I started having mixed feelings. I was so scared I'd go to jail or fuck up my insurance, life, etc. that I didn't even bother. I kept driving until I got home. I figured nobody would ever know it's me. Nobody will figure anything out. I'm still scared shitless, and I feel sooooooooooo bad for what happened, but it truly wasn't my fault. He ran out in the street, he was wearing dark clothing, and I'm sure he saw me coming with my bright headlights on... I mean how could he not? I just don't want to be involved in the legality of it. Well, that's my vent... And since I can't tell anyone I know personally, I resorted to confiding in the internet world. Any thoughts? Please don't tell me how bad of a person I am. You have no idea what I'm going through right now and how hard of a decision this was for me.Rating:0.00

3Better hope you did not leave ANY evidence around (fingerprints, car pieces, etc.) or you're facing a felony charge for sure. Plus I hope you can live with your conscience.

4You know, if you ever do become a suspect for this due to any evidence you may have left at the scene and the cops take your computer they can probably trace you to this site and this rant and thats basically a confession. It's pretty unlikely that they'd think to do that but it could happen.
You should have stopped somewhere and called 911 and explained yourself. Police people think more highly of people who do that, it makes you seem honest and willing to cooperate. Now if you do get caught you look like a liar who's trying to hide something.

6How hard your decision must be? You killed a guy and we should feel sorry for you?

7#4 Is probably right and you're fucked because if someone from this site doesn't turn you in, it's probably 'aiding and abetting or something. Sell the car.

8Yeah this has to be a lie. And if it's not, you're fucked no matter what... as you should be. You knew what the right thing to do was.

10So... did you turn yourself in, get caught, still hiding? Whats up? I'm curious.

11I turned myself in, but they said no such person was found and no reports were made. So I'm thinking either he wasn't dead, and he got up... Or... The gators got to him. :-/

12I'm just curious... Are you from the South? What state?
Because I can see this being a "clever" racist joke about black people being invisible in the dark.
If it's not, nevermind.
