Someday you need to tell them the truth. I'm glad your cat is all right. Accidents happen, but mistruths are deliberate. Fess up, you'll feel better.

I accidentally skinned my cat alive, took a bite out of it, set it on fire, and threw it off a 500 foot cliff onto jagged rocks. Sorry kitty :)
