ignorance isn't always bliss
You know when you think you've been in the business long enough to hear it all? well it was one of those days.A customer came storming up to me with her trolley and asked for a chicken she had ordered. I explained calmly that we had no preorders but I could get her one anyway. She looked at me, called me "LOVE" rather patronizingly and said she wanted to speak to the manager. I told that that was me, and she proceeded to roll her eyes and so . .
I pointed at the BBQ chickens and said" You can have one of those, but I can assure you we have none that were preordered."
She looked across, rolled her eyes and said" NO I ordered it FROZEN"
"maam" I said calmly "You have the wrong department, you want the meat section"
???
She changed her tune after that . . for her ignorance did not seem to be at all blissful.
