This job is not worth my time
A few rants directed at the clowns who "manage" the store I'm working at this summer:1. You hired me at $7/hr. You randomly moved me to a different job after 2 days. You failed to tell me that this new position only garners a $6.55/hr salary. When I confronted you about it, you literally told me "Well, it isn't that much... It isn't a big deal, right? " Um. Yes. It is, thankyouverymuch. And also, fuck you.
2. You made me sit through 22 hours of the most useless computer training I've ever seen. Your computers worked about 40% of the time. Though I feel a bit triumphant about having gotten paid for about 12 hours of staring at a computer screen and drawing owls in my notebook, I don't appreciate the colossal waste of time.
3. Why in the name of all things holy do you have two different managers making two different schedules for the same person? And which one am I supposed to follow, the one I get a week in advance or the one I get twelve hours in advance? Oh really? No kidding. 12 hours of notice for my next week's schedule. And don't give me your bullshit excuses. My previous schedule was in the computer. You just overrode it and failed to tell me. Classy.
4. No, I will not hawk your scam-tastic credit card offer like it's the best thing I could give someone. And even if I do manage to snare someone into a credit application, I'm not going to tell a manager about just so you can screech about my excellent customer service over the intercom. You know what excellent customer service is? Respecting the customer's desire to not get caught in credit debt. I can see through your bullshit, believe it or not.
Thank the Lord I'm going to be done with this job in a couple weeks. It's turning me into a soulless, cynical bitch, and my friends and family don't need to deal with that any more. Fuck you, big retail corporation.

You are 100% correct in everything that you said. But that's how shit goes. Good jobs and careers are no better. You have to put up with just as much bullshit, sometimes more, the only difference is the size of your paycheck.

If you ever find a regular job that doesn't turn you souless and cynical please let me know. I've worked a lot of them (high paying jobs too! ) and have found nothing less.

Yeah, it seems like the only way to have a good job anymore is to be self-employed. The CEO of my company made over $130 MILLION last year, and had the balls to cut us workers from 40 hours back to 35. Also he's started CHARGING each of us $2 a pay period to pay for the water cooler in our office. Prick.

All I'm doing is working to pay for the expensive medications that I have take because of this dead end job and jerks I have to work with. This soul crushing life doesn't work for me anymore. I'm ready to walk out and don't care. I beginning to feel like my own master (mistress) again.
