College was the biggest disappointment
The title says it all. I was promised change, the best times of my life, classes that were fun. Then I am loaded with low lifes, drinking, acid using roommates and no friends who just enjoy seeing a movie. I get beer and puke stained frat parties, STD laden and testosterone driven males who flaunt their junk whenever they get the chance and C's in classes that i bust my ass in. I ask for a tutor, i get nothing but when i ask for a beer at 5 am on a wednesday i get 10. what is wrong with people these days, when booze is more important then a future. I am pretty laid back but come on, sometimes enough is enough and you need to study. I feel so pressured by my friends (whom I really don't really like all that much and just keep around to fit in) to live the lifestyle when in actuality it is killing me.by the way, after college, its called alcoholism.

So this person's an idiot for wanting to be in an environment where you can get your work done? Where you can have intelligent conversations with intelligent people with ambitions?
Damn life sucks. You lose if you're stupid AND if you're smart.

#6 - you are assuming based on facts most certainly not in evidence...
The OP stated, "and C's in classes that i bust my ass in. I ask for a tutor, i get nothing... "
In my book, the OP isn't smart, if all he can get are C's when busting his ass, and in dire need of a tutor.
This fucker only loses because he is stoopid. (misspelled purposefully)

Yeah 7, I got that "stoopid" part... Unlike the rest of the rabble, I can sense the sublte points.
And did I talk about the classes? No. By "smart" I meant trying to get past the booze and partying. People tell me college is one four-year-long party... Ha. I'm not stoopid. I know different. You're telling me that college really is that easy? Please.

You can get your own tutor - it's called, find an upperclassman who did well in the class and ask them if they want to help you for a few extra bucks a week. I know, I know, tutors are supposed to be free from the school, but that whole, nothing in life is free, statement is rather accurate.
As for the partying, I guarantee not EVERYONE at your school parties constantly and drops acid. Find friends who don't party as much and STOP BEING A HIGH SCHOOLER. What I mean by that is, who cares about "fitting in"? If you find your group of friends you "fit in".
Finally, if you are really pissed cuz other people can party til 3 and then take an exam at 8 and get an A, well, SUCK IT UP! Some people have that skill (and it's a skill you may be able to learn, ask someone). Other people have to occasionally say, "Nope, can't get drunk tonight, I have a midterm. " Whatever your type is, WHO CARES? I've passed up drinking before (before my GREs and my thesis defense are two examples) and no one gave a shit!

#9 - I got a B+ in O-Chem, while carrying 18 hours and working part-time. Oh, and I had plenty of time to party, and go skydiving on the weekends.
And, by the sounds of it, got laid a helluva lot more than you ever will.
