Here we are in North San Diego County, with another Red Flag Warning, and there you are, you absolute imbecile, throwing your lit cigarette out the window of your little truck, you stupid Roadside Arsonest. I just so happen to to be behind you, "watching your butt" as it's flying around releasing all it's little red hot embers along the roadside. You stupid fool. Not only was I watching your butt, but I was taking down your license plate number. As far as I am concerned, YOU are an arsonest, a homeland terrorist. People like you need to be fined a whole lot of money, have to fight a fire alongside real men, and serve community time helping those who lost everything in the fires that have hit this area. I'm not sure how much the fine is for idiots like you. It should start at no less than $10,000.00, although thats not nearly enough. Morons should be thrown in jail every time a cop sees them do it. First of all it's littering which is illegal, second, considering it can start a fire in some areas, like you say, it should be considered attempted arson.

The odds that your cigarette butt would start a fire might be low but if you multiply those odds by the number of people that throw lit cigarette butts on the ground the odds go way down and become quite good that at least one of them will start a major fire that destroys millions of dollars in property and sometimes animals and people too.

No, people really shouldn't be arrested every time they throw a smoke out the window. That would mean you would have to arrest millions of people every day, wasting taxpayers money. There is not enough room in holding cells to arrest everyone that does it.
