Calling in sick
I hate when employers hear you hacking and coughing at work, and still wont let you leave. i've called in sick a few times last week, and dont want to keep calling in... even though im CLEARLY still sick (bronchitis). let me go home already!Rating:0.00

2Our company does not believe in sick days. The last time I left early to go to the doctor because I had such bad bronchitis I couldn't even catch a breath, I was reprimanded. And I even brought in a note from the doctor saying I should stay home. So when the time is right, in the spring when the only other person who knows how to do my job is on vacation, I'm walking out. Fuck 'em.

3Dude, just get a little fake blood at any costume store and the next time you start hacking, put some in a kleenex and then say really loud, "Holy shit, I'm coughing up blood and I think it was this place that caused it and I'm calling my attorney right now." I bet you'll get to go home really quick.

4We used to use this tactic to buck the restroom lines at the theme parks. Fake vomit works well too.

6I worked for a company that offered 15 days paid vacation. My daughter became seriously ill and was hospitalized. I arranged to take 8 of my earned vacation days to stay at the hospital with her. Thereafter I was described as having an "attendence problem" and was denied a pay raise because of it. Note that I used earned vacation and even rolled over unused days to the following year. The "attendence problem" tag followed me as long as I worked there.

7#6 that company sucks--I would have fought that tooth and nail.
I work at a nursing home and I HATE it when people come to work sick. They could pass their germs onto the elderly residents, other staff members and their families. If you are sick STAY HOME!!!!!! Mo Fo's
