The Traitors
My mother is over 80, a good catholic with a still sharpe mind and plenty of irritating opinions, beliefs and judgements. I am her son, a fallen catholic who thinks the church is rotten at the core and who has made less than stellar-in her opinion-life choices. We are best together on the phone it seems. Still we agree on one thing: Bush and Cheny, Rumsfeld, could, in a just and honest world, be hung as traitors to the nation. We really have no standards left now, no claim to the moral high ground, no dignity in our "service sector society", no wealth but a wealth of red ink held by former enemies and questionable friends. Hell, i'm going to the mall and spending my $600 kicker from Georgie and pretend it's all good.Rating:0.00

You should buy a time machine with that $600, go back to 2000 Iraq, and enjoy all the freedoms and high moral standards of that country. You might even have enough money to bribe the government from not forcing you to join the army and rape children.

I'd hardly liken not going to church anymore with the supposed fall of the morning star to hell!
