Reality TV and lazy people
You know our society is lazy, when the most popular shows on TV are basically video footage of other people working. Come on.... Crab boat fishing? Loggers? Truckers?Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this?
Our population is killing itself with obesity related disease due to sitting home watching other people work, go to school, argue, play sports and "vote him/her off".
Think these shows would have been popular 20 years ago?

I think 20 years ago, people were basic mud slinging savages who sat around in the sun all day doing nothing and complaining the white man didn't feed them enough. They would have thought the TV was a voodoo box and worshipped it as a god.

How about a reality show about drug dealers in the hood, based in South Central?
I'd watch it, if only to see those fuckers kill each other off.

Well, yes and no. No. because there were legitimate television shows called "Sitcoms" and "Soap Operas" and they were respected as noble professions. Furthermore, people actually went out and did stuff. Yes, since it would've been considered a new medium and frontier.
