Doomed
What horrific spectacles these conventions have been. Glad-handing parties for the dems and repubs. This last bit though, with Palin, good God!How stupid do they really think americans are? Pretty stupid, I know. But really, already under investigation for the very type of political abuse that will be the primary legacy of the W's diseased years. And sounding so righteous with her daughter knocked up and her cuckholed hubby already chaffing like Billy Carter. That is one dysfunctional family, without a doubt.
Obama goes with Biden as his big compromise to biz as usual dispite what we say; and John has Palin who only a complete and total idiot (or a rightist religion voting christian fanatic) would want as successor to an aging vietnam war hero.
Doomed because we have come to rest in our own, self-woven web of deception: that how we live our lives, and what we have come to value, is "normal." Rather, an objective look at ourselves would indicate a highly developed, neurotic warping of our moral/ethical compass and a fragmentation of "US" into the bits called "me" and "you." And we all know that a house divided will never endure. That's one reason why so much capital is moving offshore.

I think adding Palin was brilliant regardless of how stupid some Americans are it will definitely have an effect. They'll pick up the women voters that wanted to vote for a woman but can't since Hillary didn't get the nomination and they'll pick up horny guys that let their small head think for them when they decide who to vote for.

Err..?? the Palin pick is "brilliant" because..."They'll pick up the women voters that wanted to vote for a woman but can't since Hillary didn't get the nomination" . . . ? One woman is the same as the next, right? Who cares if they are complete opposites in terms of platform. By that token, maybe all the Republicans will vote for Obama because he's a man (same as McCain). I liked Jay Leno's comment last night. McCain should have tapped Michael Jackson for VP . . . he fills all those roles and more.

#3 is just the sort of republican that should serve on the front line in Iraq. You won't need body armor

#3 is independent, and tired of the liberal bullshit. Stop making assumptions, douche.
And, you should learn what it is to actually serve, before recommending it to others.
You would need top notch body armor, to keep your own troops from fraggin' you.

Idiots.
In the sound bite driven ADHD world of American politics, Sarah Palin was the smartest choice the GOP could make. She takes the wind out of the Obama "change" sails, brings out the conservative base, has just enough controversy to keep her name in the news everyday but not enough to be lethal, appeals to the blue collar worker and not to mention is very easy on the eyes.
Gotta hand it to the republicans, they know how to play the game.

She also seems to be generating a bunch of chivalrous attitudes in men. They don't like when people attack her.
