Wow, with all this woman has done in her life I think we can forgive her lying about being a good mother. U have to be there to be a mother. U have to make it The Priority to be a good mother. She is a woman who has birthed children, just like me. But she's not there enough to qualify as a mother. She was the womb that birthed the children would be more accurate. This other stuff is just for show. Any woman who can think can see how Sarah Palin lacks depth as a human being. She's like that Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann. To think of her leading the country is a horrifying possibility that would leave us in ruin, moral and financial.When will people get that what the politicos want has nothing to do with how they posture themsellves for our consumption.

Well, half the human race have uteruses but that doesn't make them qualified to be VP.
She's probably been an OK governor but it was pretty obvious that McCain only chose her to try and lure the Hillary people over to the Republican side in the election. If he'd wanted a capable woman he'd have picked Kay Bailey Hutchison.

You don't get to the top of the political game by spending a lot of time bonding with your family, you do it by going out and wringing necks, not by being what is by your definition "a good parent". No politician ever will be. By your logic of not having shitty parents in office, guess what! We wouldn't have a government!
Oh, and guess what, bad parenting is not always a factor in teen pregnancy (don't worry, for all your doublespeak, we know what you're really saying is that she'd be a bad VP because her daughter is preggo). 'Cuz frankly, looking at that girl, if I was her boyfriend, I'd forget to pull out too.

Agreed, hotness does run in that family.
What people forget is that parenting skills are not a prerequisite for public office. That being said, you should be aware that she got into politics after being int he PTA - something caring parents join. She ran for local office, to make things better locally for her family, friends and others. She moved on to state politics, to make things better for a lot more people, including her family.
And, how many fathers in politics have we accused of not being good parents? None. So fuck you and your sexist double-standard.

^ Doubtful. Most states' laws provide for an age of consent under 18, and usually have an age differential clause. For example, in NJ, it is a four year difference, and the girl must be under 16, for it to qualify for indictable (felony) status..

Alaska's age of consent is 16 for heterosexual contact, as well as homosexual contact.

When someone is obviously saying something based on a personal prejudice, and then trots out a flimsy rationalisation to try and justify the whole damned thing, the linguistic bitchslap is often justified.
Let's try this question, then; aside from the fact that her daughter is pregnant, what makes you think she's a bad mother? And what gives you the right to speak badly about someone you don't know, based on incomplete information? I'm not saying she's a good mother or a bad mother, I don't know either way. But I'm not going to ridicule someone unless I know damned well they deserve it (of course, you doing so makes me think YOU deserve it). And then of course there's the fact that it really doesn't matter to her value as a politician either way. FDR and JFK practiced more vice on a daily basis than most do in a month (drinking, smoking, cheating on their wives, etc), and are widely hailed as two of the best presidents ever.
