You are being played for suckers
McCain was very shrewd in his pick for VP. Not that she is qualified for the post, but because they can cry crocodile tears whenever she is questioned by the Obama campaign. Why is it she hasn't conducted an interview with the press yet? Is it because she is the penultimate example of style over substance, or is she just shy? Why won't she talk about issues and delineate even in the slightest from her talking points? All we know about her is that she is pro life anti abortion and that she hunts and fishes. Well, what about her opinion on say, foreign affairs? Or more importantly the economy? Why? Because if she went off on her own she would be exposed as what she truly is. Unqualified.
It's sad that on the eve of the most historic election in recent history all we can focus on are non issues.
If McCain was even half serious about debating the actual issues he would have chosen someone else.
But, no. Instead we get to hear about pigs and lipstick and hockey Moms. What the hell happened to the economy, or immigration, or what's that place called again? Oh, yeah, Iraq, is it? Or that guy, Osama something or other? How about him?
The candidates need to focus on the issues, but so long as McCain keeps setting little traps Obama will get swift boated just like John Kerry did.
How sad, that at this crucial time in history all we can do is act like children on a playground.

And Obama is qualified how? He really hasn't done anything since he was elected to the Senate. He didn't draft any earth-shattering legislation, and he voted "present" on a number of bills. I thought the choices were Yea and Nay... Is "present" the new Ebonics version?

But he DID stand alone in his repugnance for the war in Iraq. To me that shows far more courage of conviction than anyone else in this farce.

Ah, but have you asked yourself why? Or, did you just assume he was exhibiting "courage of his convictions"?
Was it simply a political move to make a name for himself, because in politics, any press is good press?
Was it because he sympathizes and identifies with Arab AND Muslim culture?
Unless you are Barack Obama himself, I doubt you can espouse what his true motivations were.

It doesn't matter who becomes president, nothing can become better. If the best hearted person were voted for president, the house would just overrule him on any positive thing that could be done. It just doesn't matter. If they made it this far in the game, they are all the same. It's the invisible-hand filter I like to call it.

Yeah, inspite of how seriously it *supposed to be* taken, it's all very Jerry Springer, isn't it...
*sigh* If only there were another station to change to.

The media treats everything the republicans say as newsworthy. "mccain is upset about lipstick comment. mccain thinks obama is a celebrity. mccain thinks the media is sexist." what does mccain think about the economy, choice, iraq, …
At least with Obama, i know.

Oh, what a funny rant, you used the words obama and qualified in the same paragraph..... what a joke....

#8, whatever you use to define obama and qualified, you should also apply to Lincoln and JFK. Political experience doesn't mean shit to how good or bad a president will be.

I suppose this is what we get for being so damned interested in the celebrity culture--politics stoops even lower in the name of ratings...

Today Palin said we should go to war with Russia if they invade another country.
Yeah, that's great. On the anniversary of 9/11, with our current war in the middle east undecided and up in the air, lets go ahead and shift our views to another war.
If anyone thinks the Republican's are about change, like they say they are, go play in traffic.

Yeah, #10... you're right. How else could a militant black man, educated at the heart of liberalism, with ZERO executive experience, ever win a nomination on a major party ticket?

OP, Palin is doing and extensive interview with Charles Gibson. It takes a little while after the nomination to settle the "drama" down a bit, and start formal interviews. dumbshit.
1. Sarah Palin isn't running against Obama. It's funny how everyone compares their experience. You should try comparing Obama's experience with the mavericks.
2. Palin has more executive experience. She ran a business "the state of Alaska." The Federal government has the same principles, larger scale.
3. I would love for you to list the accomplishments of Barack Obama. No bullshit either. Just list them and try to prove to me he is qualified and experienced.
4. We could all get past this petty bullshit talk surrounding Palin if it wasn't for YOUR liberal media that keeps bringing it up over and over and over and over again. If they wan't to talk about her policies during governship, fine, but you libs are trying to discredit her using pathetic personal issues. Everything you are complaining about, you created.

You know what, 13? If you're never going to back up your argument that he is a militant black man you're going to continue to look like a fool. Why don't you do yourself a favor and find some proof to back up your argument. Otherwise do US a favor and, well, shut up.
