Militant Straight Edge Kids
I respect peoples decisions and how they want to treat their body, but I am so sick of militant straight edge bastards walking around with their nose in the air because they don't poison their bodies. So what if I want to smoke a cigarette or have a drink? It's my body, I know damn well what I am doing. I am not a drug addict nor am I an alcoholic, and I really don't plan on becoming either (not that anyone does, but I know my limits.)I am just sick of these 'straight edge' kids, half of which aren't even over the age of 18 so its not like they can legally smoke or drink anyway. All of them act like they are so much better because of the decisions they make. Hey, thats awesome you don't poison your body, I totally respect that. I respect that you don't cave in to peer pressure and you are looking out for your health, good job. So if I can accept that, why can't you accept what I do? Better yet, why the hell do you care so much? Its not your life or your body or your decision, so why constantly talk shit about me or make fun of me because I am different than you?
There are crews all over my area and probably all over the world that are dedicated to beating people senseless because they are smoking or drinking. I have heard of these crews putting people in hospitals merely because they see a kid smoking a cigarette. How freaking unbelievable.
So yeah, straight edge kids do your thing but if you are going to be condescending towards me because I'm not like you, then seriously kiss my ass.

I drink, smoke and every now and then there's a little something in my smoke.
I've never missed a days work for my respectable and well paid job. I've never been in trouble with the police and more importantly I've had an absolute blast with my friends as we've moved through life together.
Your body isn't a temple and it shouldn't go to the morgue as it entered the world. It should be lived in.

Who cares? People can do whatever they want to their bodies. Maybe eating McDonald's every meal of the day isn't the smartest thing to do, but by Jesus it's your own choice. So is smoking, getting high, and/or drinking. However, if you only do any of the above things once in a little while, it's not THAT bad; anyone who tells you otherwise should go fuck themselves and eat some more tofu.
Speaking of which, I'm going to go get some McDonald's.

Caving in to peer pressure is not exactly healthy nor smart.
Perhaps you don`t quite realise it, but right now it`s peer pressure to be straight edge, not to smoke or drink. So, yes, as expected, most of straight edges are mindless sheep blindly following the fashion brand. Nazi movement had started quite similar - same notions of purity and superiority.
Those who don`t learn from the history are doomed to repeat it.

This just in...
I overheard in a RadioShack one knuckle dragger announcing to another that "I's donse takes balfs inda winna times" and the other agreed with enthusiastic animal antics as though she did not either. I absolutely could not believe my ears.. but then again it does not surprise me.
No wonder any school system/public place of this time one may walk into smells like fermented crap.
