Waving Goodbye to my Faith in Humanity
So, I need to get the hell out of Indiana. The town I live is slowly but surely taking away all of the faith I have in humanity.There are numerous examples that I could go through in detail, like the family of four that spent the night in jail for jumping another family outside of a bar. Or perhaps the old lady I heard on the public bus talking about not having enough money for heart medication and cigarettes, but gets off at the gas station saying 'you only live once I guess'. Or perhaps the cop that took a few girls for a joy ride and then had a car wreck.
Oh the examples go on, but today I saw something that really shattered my faith in humanity. I was sitting at a red light and saw this woman, probably eight months pregnant, waiting at the bus stop wrapping up a cigarette. When she was done, she lights up another one as her 'man' shows up and gives her a diabetes testing kit from Walgreens.
I wanted to get out of my car and bitch slap her. I mean, I understand that there are a lot of dumb ass people out there and that, thankfully, this woman does not represent them. But still, isn't life challenging enough without stacking the deck against an infant?
These morons need to die, or at the very minimum, not procreate. Say what you will, but treating an unborn child this way is just wrong.

It is not just where you live, it is everywhere. I live in Albuquerque. I got bitched out because my shopping cart almost bumped into the cart of another customer. I just saw an elderly man on a bike get hit because a driver was in too much of a hurry to stop for the light. People around here get randomly shot. Down where I live there was a random shooting that ripped the jaw right off of an old man's dog.... It was in his yard. Just a random act of violence. I should add his other dog died, the other had surgery. People get beaten up on the stairwells of the college and someone tried to committ suicide by jumping off the parking strcuture. Makes me wonder what life is all about.
