Pretentious books

I can't stand pretentious books that are full of big words and long sentences, that in the end don't make any clear points about ANYTHING. "Our analysis was a process of abstraction from contextually rich ethnographic analyses of the data from each family to a systematic examination of the generality and variations in patterns appearing in the 14 families of the four cultural communities" --> WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN???

Worse, I am forced to chew through these sad excuses of scientific literature for school. How fun.

It means that they have studied 14 families from 4 very different areas and they are catagorising how they are alike and how they are different; the results will be put into charts and graphs.

Have you finished "Harry Potter yet?

That was not that complex. Maybe you should read something other than Goosebumps books or whatever the fuck you kids read these days.

Well, if school textbook poses a problem, that means you have a serious problem.

Ever considered a career of janitor, sonny? Sounds like it would be quite a challenge for you.
