You don't even know me
i moved to canada when i was about 12 years old from the middle east.. i grew up along the mediterranean and my family isn't very religious.. we're muslim.. but i can honestly say i've never seen the inside of a mosque. or church.anyhow, this didn't happen t me so much in canada... but when i went down for a visit to the states... i felt that people are almost offended when they find out i'm middle eastern/muslim.
i'm not about to start to converting people or blowing things up. i believe in the basic human rights.. i don't wear a hijab. never will. i am proud of my two cultures - arab and canadian. why do SOME people view me as only arab?

Well, to start off with there is a lot of anti-Muslim feeling here because of a little problem we had back in 2001. On top of that, there has been a lack of condemnation from Muslim community toward their members who practice terrorism against the West. So Americans are a little resentful about that. Seeing Bush in the news this week over in Saudi Arabia kissing everyone's asses hasn't helped either.

The reasons I tend to NOT like people of middle eastern heritage:
1. They typically have more body hair.
2. They ALWAYS smell like one of three things:
a. Cologne
b. B.O.
c. Weird cuisine or hooka smoke
3. The middle eastern male's attitude of
dominance or power over all women.
4. They swagger jack the blacks.
There you have it

I've never been a fan of the Middle Eastern culture and especially the harem attitude that women are for sex and having babies and that's it. My daughters go to a private school and there are a lot of middle eastern children there and although the parents are exceedingly polite, I always have a feeling that they're hiding something... like a bomb. I will admit that I feel the same way about the Chinese, Germans and Japanese too. I don't trust any of them based on past performance and present attitudes.

I've never been a fan of white people. A lot of them are really nice and they are always smiling, but I just don't trust them based on the fact that they killed so many of my people and stole our land.

Since when has Christianity been peaceful? And s for the Islamic attitudes towards women.. how quickly we forget what the entire world was like a century ago, let alone Christianity, or for a more extreme view, catholicism. Just for the record, I am not muslim, nor am I Catholic, Jewish etc. I am however, studying divinities at McGill University.

A zealot is a zealot, no matter what the religion. If you do study the major world religions, you should notice that most of them, when stripped down to the basics say the same thing: "Love others and treat them decently" Everything else is just dogma created by people with some sort of agenda aimed at controlling someone else.
