It's like, uhh, you know?
I'm so sick of the stupid way people talk. They always use "like" where they shouldn't. They use it when it has no meaning. The say "So Joe was like ..... and I was like ..... and it was like totally cool!" Like, Like, Like, Like, SHUT UP!!! You sound like a moron, OK?Another one is "uhh". Did you ever sit and just listen to how many times someone says it during an average conversation? As with "like", you'd be surprised. Just think how dumb it sounds. Some people even put a D in front of it when they say it, confirming their stupidity. Duhh! I'm a moron, hurr!
Now I know it's a pause while you are thinking about what to say, but why do you feel the need to give me an audio cue that you are still breathing? Just pause. Say nothing. Silence is golden, especially if you're an idiot who says "like" all the time.
And lastly, I hate people who say "you know?" after they tell me something. "I just got a new shirt, you know?"
Next time someone says "you know?" after saying something say: "Of course I know, you idiot. You just told me! I don't need to confirm that I heard every damn word you said. I don't even care about your boring, mundane crap in the first place." That'll shut 'em up.
Someone should do a scientific study to determine just how much energy and time is wasted with these stupid, unnecessary sounds people make.
I bet it would, like, be, uhh, quite a number, you know?

Wow i agree i actually used to say you know a alot, and i wouldn't even realize it, until my dad's friend who is a speech coach or something like that, would hit me in the shoulder every time i would say it. and in about an hour i started realizing i was saying it and would actually stop before saying 'you know' and this was just over the course of two hours during dinner. but just to tell you i did do a "study" if you can call it that, it was more just me being really bored in class, but in high school everytime this girls would comment on something she would say "like" AT LEAST 5 times a sentence.

Yeah... I do that... Not proud, i heard myself in a recording, didn't even realise i was doing it, and i also hate people that do that... I'm trying to stop, but it's going to be hard =/
