Ringing
When is this dang ringing gonna stop? Will it be gone in the morning? I was demonstrating the technique for a weapon disarm, which involves a blow to the head, and I accidentally popped myself right behind my left jaw joint, under the ear. Needless to say, my ear has been ringing since then (about half an hour). If it doesn't stop, I'ma blow my eardrum out!!!Just out of curiosity, has anyone had a similar experiance? Did it stop?

It stops... The hair cells in your ear are slowly dying and collapsing into your cochlear duct and basilar membrane. Eventually you will no longer be able to hear the frequency you're hearing now. Give it a couple days.

It's called tinnitus. The ringing may go away, or it might not. I guess it's a little too late for ear plugs.:(

Have someone hit you on the right side of your head at the same spot to even everything out.....

Got this while in the Marine corps in 92 and still have it. Eventually, you barely even notice it.
Kills your Karaoke career tho.

I have had tinnitus since going to my first concert. That was 20 years ago and it still hasn't stopped.
Sometimes it gets so bad I have to sleep with a really noisy fan on high, even in the winter just to help block it out.
