We shall see...

I knew, as did many of my close friends and peers, of different political parties and stances, that Obama was going to win. I'm a Democrat, but I didn't vote for him because he is. I'm so sick of Lil' George's bullshit policy on fighting a "war", as he calls it. The damn thing was called off, what, ten years ago? (Sigh) It's time for you to put your toy soldiers and tanks away, Lil' George, and let a REAL man step up to do your job for you. Obama, if you ever by any chance read this, all eyes are on you now, my friend. Show us what you can do, and we shall see what is to come.

And please, before you crap out your irrational political views and other b/s into the comment box, make sure it's grammatically and orthographically correct. The literacy rate of the U. S. is at 99% for men and women, and teens over age 15 can read and write, according to

www.cia.gov

So please at least try to make yourself look smart.

I don't want to see any more rants about Obama..

Or how stupid the other party is and what's wrong with it.

He is president. Accept it, and make the best of it.

Agreed, op, not much sense in predicting any outcomes now, guess we just have to wait and see if the guy is worth his salt, but it would be hard for him to do worse than the chimp.

The election is over and nothing will change.

The obama camp is already starting with the excuses, conservatives are already starting with the blame. More effort used in posturing than in attempting to fix anything.

Goobermint (yes that's purposefully misspelled) continues to prove it's ineffectiveness, but nobody has the attention span to look past the last administration to the equally useless ones before.

Throw both parties out and you might see some actual results, but ADHD is a bitch on a national scale.

Both candidates spent untold hundreds of millions of dollars telling us what government will do.

I would have rather they spent that money telling us how government intends to protect our freedom.

More government, of any ideological slant, is not the answer.

    More freedom is.

Benjamin Franklin, to paraphrase greatly because I'm working from memory, said something to the effect that there is also the freedom to fail. That should have applied to the Wall Street Bailout, and if Ford and/or GM crash, it should apply to them too. Perhaps this time around American car companies could have some decent leadership and make better decisions.

Government telling us what we can drive, how much we can make, what we can eat (wait for it when nationalized health care comes about) and what we can hear (Fairness Doctrine on Radio) does absolutely nothing to improve this country. Bureaucrats spreading Bureaucrap will be the death of us all.

Obama generated and spent $1.6B USD, wheras McCain did about $950M USD. Obama won the election not because he's the right man for the job but because he advertised better than McCain. Now all those welfare gathering fucks who do nothing but watch TV saw his bullshit ads and decided to go out and vote so they'll keep the food stamps and government cheese coming.
