Tired of hearing about charities
I'm tired of hearing the troubles of charities while these same people voted for obama. Most charities get their money from companies, then we are going to be raising their taxes and wonder why charities aren't getting money.When we had record low taxes we had record high donations. Then we raise the taxes and wonder why people dont donate.
I think it is the fear that people might not donate, and that is why people want more government programs. If you tax someone they have to pay. But what people dont understand is people will still donate money if they aren't taxed.
Just pisses me off that people vote for something to raise taxes then complain donations are at a low.

Wondering where you saw the stat that most charities get their money from companies? I've worked for 3 and we only ever got big donations or sponsorships when a company was ramping up a PR campaign. Otherwise we relied on Joe Everyman for donations. Historically, we get more donations when people have jobs and aren't being outsourced.
