Damn; John Edwards is out of the race

I know he didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning the Democratic nomination but of the three front runners, I think I liked him the best. Now that Hillary won in Florida, things are not looking too good (unless you actually like the bitch), so I sure as hell hope that Edwards throws his support to Obama.

Do you think it was the press reporting on his $400 haircuts that did him in or was it Hillary's crying that pushed her ahead?

Neither, I think it's just that Floridians don't know any better. Or we'll find out later that they MEANT to vote for someone else but just didn't understand how the process worked.

ummm... he wasn't just losing in Florida, he was way behind from the get go and faired poorly in every primary.

He was done in when he accepted public funding for his campaign. In almost every election (not 100%, but close) the person with the most money wins. The fact that he was getting 10-20% of the vote with a publicly funded campaign, while facing Obama and Hillary, who both have hundreds of millions of dollars is actually pretty impressive

^ Anyone that lives in the U.S. and hopes the next president is going to be better than the jackass that has the job right now.
