Why are you people so fucking blind? Why do you believe that your voting in the elections has any meaning whatsoever when (from what I've read) about 70% of the votes are counted by very insecure, easily tampered electronic voting machines? Please tell me how you can trust your goventment that theyA) Don't know that there are such vulnerability in those machines
B) that they would not have someone fuck with the machine

It doesn't matter what candidate you support. It only matters who the government has already chosen for themselves. The person most likely to carry on and continue the fascist police state that America is becoming is the person that the machines are programmed to have win.
Why do you think there are so many of those machines now? Your country did perfectly fine with paper ballots that are A LOT more difficult to rig an election with.

3Considering that it's the electoral college that decides who is president and not the popular vote it doesn't matter what kind of voting system they use for the President. If they get rid of the college then it would be more of an issue.

Either way, at least we can vote, and while you may not think it makes a difference, it does. I know that you are the Supreme Knowledge Holder of the World and all, but surprisingly, the voting system still works most of the time.
Also, you suck. The paper voting system was/is a pain the ass, and as Florida has shown, can be fucked up just as much as electronic voting systems. All it takes is a collective group of retards, and any system in the world can be ineffective.

6Yeah but the good thing about paper ballots is that they are a receipt of your vote. I would have no problem with the electronic voting machine except for its a fucking computer. Anyone that has owned one knows they are unreliable and very susceptible to tampering. Another thing is that what happens if say the power goes out are the machines going to keep everything in order?
In the end I would not have a problem using them as long as a paper receipt of your vote is printed and used in case of an emergency. They could even use the paper ballots to check the integrity of the machines.
One more thing before I go everyone says think of something better to bitch about, Usa has done much worse, that may be true but at least when we want to get rid of the piece of shit politicians that fucked us we feel like our vote counted!

I'll give you American Idol, but not one single person I know likes Paris Hilton. I would even go so far as to say that most Americans hate her. So, you know, at least give us credit for that.
You are correct about the electronic voting machines (though I'd bet that in all their government glory, they've thought of backups in case of power outages). Computers can be unreliable, but the fact remains that any system in the world (again, including paper ballots, look at Florida) can be screwed up by people. It's not the computer's fault, it's the people who are either too stupid to use them, or who try to hack them. People can (and will, if they continue to be used) find ways to mess with paper ballots. I get your point, I really do, but the fact is, we are living in a time where everything needs to be fast, and sometimes accuracy is not an issue.

9How hard would it be for the poll worker to throw away your paper ballot and just fill in a new one for you? A lot easier than reprogramming a computer.

15Just to make the point AS AN AMERICAN! I find it hard to understand why in this day and age we need an electoral college considering it was designed for the day and age when it was harder to communicate. In this day and age we are perfectly capable of have A LITERAL VOTE. Rather than this lets leave all holes open to any crooked scheme form of voting we currently use. WHAT THE HELL WE WAITING ON!?
