"like" shut up
I hate people who constantly use the fucking word like when formulating a sentence. My stupid cunt of a roommate (I hate her for more than just this) says like after ever third word. " And like she said she was like cool to drive even though like she had like too much to drink". This bitch used the word like 10 fucking times in one statement today. I know because I counted. The funny thing is she thinks shes going to become "like" a professional and "like make a lot of money and stuff". I don't think she knows how fucking stupid here constant use of the word like as a place filler makes her sound. Like shut the fuck up bitch.Rating:4.43

Like isn't just a filler, it serves as a "language softener", giving the speaker a moment to think before coming up with the next part of their statement.

The person who posted comment #3 has a point, though. A lot of people who speak English as a second language will primarily use the word "fucking" as their adverb of choice. Don't believe me? Go to any construction site in North America with East Indian people working there.

I don't think that the poster was using fucking in the same way that a person would use the word like. A person doing that would say something along the lines of "we should...fucking...go get something to eat" For that reason poster number 3 is a fucking d-bag.

There is a rather large walking penis that I work with that uses the phrase "I mean" verses "Like". I counted the number of times he used it in one conversation with the boss- 89 times. in a 10 minute conversation.

Pretty much any place holder (like, uh, i mean, fucking) makes people for the most part sound stupid when used a lot. Its as if their brain does not compute fast enough to formulate a sentence without having to pause. My sister used to say "like" constantly, It was a habit, not because she was stupid. She doesn't do that anymore though, my mom broke here of this linguistic demon.
