I dont want your tracts
I was at the laundromat today and I got approached by this lady who asked if I would "like to read about Jesus while doing your wash."I can't stand people who give out tracts. I consider myself a Christian but I'm not one for knocking on doors, leaving tracts as tips at restaurants, or approaching people who are obviously busy leafing through their own reading material. I work at a bank and one of these dickasses put a tract in my drive-thru window. So no...no I would not want to read about Jesus while my laundry is drying. I would like to read my magazine about drumming while I wait for clean underwear.

2Yeah my church gives us those to hand out. It's just another futile effort to introduce people to Jesus. People don't want to sit and read these things. It just makes for awkward interactions with people. If they really want to give people God's message they should be talking to people and encouraging them to get off their lazy butts on Sunday and go to church. Those tracts are useless.

5I like to draw obscene doodles or write satanic mumbo-jumbo and then put them back where I found them. If someone tries to hand me one I just tell them I am allergic to paper. They have to think about that one.

7I do agree that tracks dop not work, but you yourself just wrote that you consideryourself to be a christian! someone who follows Christ and you come in here and blog and swear and put down people who are trying to live up to what Jesus wants us to do. Tell others about Him. Its people like you who call themselves Christians and then do this crap, you give religion a bad vibe. Either live for God, like your say your doing. Or stop, because truefully those people that give out the tracks have more nerve to reach others then have the pastors.
