Abraham Lincoln was a racist

I'm sick and tired of hearing people talking about Abraham Lincoln, saying he freed the slaves and that he loved black people. He was a hateful person, just like the rest of the people living in those times. A quote from the man himself:
" I have no purpose of introducing political and social equality between the white and black races... That I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negros, nor qualifying them to hold office nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this, that there is a physical difference between the two which, in my judgment will probably forever forbid there living together upon the footing of perfect inequality, and in as much as it bocomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position."

Have another:

"If I could save the union without freeing any slave, I would."

Even if he signed the emancipation proclamation, he did it to save his union, not because he cared for black people.

You still wonder why we don't like lincoln?

Fuck him.

Lincoln was a powerful friend to African Americans.
He got the 13th amendment passed which abolished slavery.
To get elected he had to take a middle ground on slavery since ~1/2 of the US was pro-slavery. Once elected he slowly, but surely lead the US to a better position i. E. no slavery.
After his murder by John Wilkes Booth for abolishing slavery, his successor Andrew Jackson Johnson [from Tenessee] was impeached by the Republican controlled Congress who would not let the 11 Southern states back into Congress.

Read history. It is good stuff.
