Shopping carts

Why can't people put their shopping carts in the designated holding cages? They aren't that far away from your car. Just because you prop it up on one of the tree islands doesn't make it the right place. One minute to walk there and back to your car. It's just fucking courteous. Now I have to walk around in 100+ degree weather and collect those motherfuckers. Don't be so fucking lazy. Think of someone else besides your fat ass for a change.

carts taking up spaces? running into other cars? into the street? so just how long do you expect this guy to procastinate on his job for all of this to occur? ? ? And you can't offer a service and complain about it at the same time. Grow up you wimpering baby. I'd love to be your boss and smack your ass into shape! & you too #15

I don't know about you smacking my ass, or getting me into shape. Unless you are an incredibly hot girl. My guess is that you are an old guy, because you are not on myspace checking for new comments.

    Stop that homo shit.

Wow, you guys are all a bunch of assholes. I don't even work at a place like that, but honestly, how fucking long does it take one to walk 100 feet to put a cart away? You bunch of lazy fuckers, I hope one of the carts you leave around leaves a nice dent and scratch in your car. And it's not only about the workers- when you leave your cart wherever the hell you want, you're fucking up the parking situation, too. I can't even count how many times I've started to pull into a spot, only to find a cart there instead. PUT IT AWAY, it's not that fucking hard.

lol myspace equates to having a life huh. quit blaming others for being a lazy worker. have some damn enthusiastic work effort for crying out loud. i mean really, this is like getting a job at McRestaurant and complaining that the people at the drive-thru are too lazy to get out and order inside. you are providing a service, that is your job. don't go hating people because they dare use the service you provide. grow the f*ck up

I always put my cart away but feel if I didn't your ass should go get that shit and put it away. BOOO FUCKING HOOO buddy. What is this your first job? Did father say you need to get a job this summer or he would take away your video games? My first job was as a janitor in a auto shop, you know how dirty mechanics are? So shut the fuck up.

Amen! I don't see how anyone could admit to having a problem with such an easy job. Go out there and help people, put a smile on their face. I would be thrilled if that's all I had to do.

It's not an easy job. Maybe you all forgot how much it sucks to work for minimum wage. You can't live on your own, you can't afford a car payment, the most you can do is pay a cell phone bill and pay your own way for food once in a while and gas, if you are lucky enough to have a car, from your parents helping you out or charity. Don't forget that people look down on you and talk to you like you are a dipshit, even though you are probably more educated and talented than they are. The job market sucks, and maybe these people don't feel like cleaning up after your fat asses.

No, myspace does not equate to having a life. It equates to being a young girl (18-25ish), who thinks she is hot. I was saying that if you wish to slap my ass, you should be a girl in this age range. And since you are not on myspace, you are not, therefore you should not talk about slapping my ass.

I would complain if I had to do this job. I work in an office, and that is easier than pushing carts. All of you people forget how much it sucks to have to go to work to make 7 bucks an hour to push carts. It's mind numbing and depressing.

    Fuck all yall.

I agree with # 15 and # 18. Its funny when people accuse the poster of being lazy when they can't walk far enough to put their carts away.
Yes, collecting the carts is the posters job, but I have seen carts left roll into peoples cars and block parking spots, and its bullshit.
    Put your fucking cart away.

Who thinks she is hot? geat, another pretentious person. i bet you're just a blast to work with. and i wouldn't want to slap your sorry ass, i meant beat your ass into growing the f*ck up like your parents should have done. and how self-centered and ignorant of a person does it take to contort this into slapping your sorry ass for pleasure? who the hell cares about myspace. i have it. so what.

I pushed carts for two years in high school. doing carts is only depressing if you're a feeble-minded person. don't get mad at the people you serve just because you want to get paid more. stop feeling sorry for yourself and step up and take some initiative to make a difference no matter what you are doing for the moment because once that moment is gone you can't do it again.

I keep to myself at work, with a smile on my face, and I get my job done. But I don't push carts.

I'm sorry if my convictions about people cleaning up after themselves is a problem for you. I know it must bug you that everyone isn't a slob like you. I bet you are like a Dwight at work, with the way you talk. Arrogant prick. Take some initiative, WHILE PUSHING CARTS?! Get a fucking life. What are you gonna do, push them faster and harder than any other cart boy? What the fuck is this shit about making a difference, and the moment will never come back??? If I thought that way, I sure as hell wouldn't be pushing carts in hopes of chasing that all american scheme, I mean dream. If I truly wanted to live all of my life to the fullest, I would NOT work for a greedy company/corporation that pays minimum wage to overqualified workers. I would do everything but work. I would be happy to erase any memories I have had of shitty jobs that had no impact whatosoever on anyone's lives. They are a waste of human time, with all of our potential, pushing carts is not what we are meant to do. If I had to do something like that for the rest of my life, I would gladly quit and be homeless.

Once again, sorry if your laziness is a problem. I know it sucks to weigh 300 pounds and not have any friends (except maybe on myspace). I know that it bugs you when you see people who actually were taught by their parents to be clean and pick up after themselves, and taught to be courteous to those in the least desirable of positions, and to not treat people like you are above them because they "get paid" to clean up after you, fatty.

lol how did you know my name? good to see you can think, but unfortunately you share the same attitude problem as the poster, which resulted in your response perfectly as i had expected. So let me enlighten you. Greater than the issue of this complaint, the real issue here is the incredible lack of maturity as illustrated by getting upset over something so petty. If this person has reached working age and hasn't yet developed such simple coping skills by now, he/she needs help. There is honor in everything one does no matter how trivial it may seem. If you push carts for a living, take pride in it because it is *you* doing it. When I did that job and I would see a customer at their car emptying their cart, I would approach them and make conversation and help them put their bags into the car and then wave them off as I brought their cart back. If I didn't get there in time before they began bringing the cart back I would stop them and kindly tell them I would be more than happy to get it for them because that's what I was there for. Such earnest to make others genuinely happy quickly reciprocates to eliminate negativity around you. Customers come back as friends and you're surrounded with happiness and appreciation. It's all about doing the best you can with what you're given for the moment. As I continued working through college I got promoted to higher and higher positions and I now ow my own business that fully supports nine family members and I. Your assumption that I don't bring my carts back is incorrect as well as my weight (185@5'10") - and what does that have to do with anything; you even have an issue with overweight people? I could go through and help you with all of the additional issues that your response reveals about yourself, but you're better off tackling one issue at a time beginning with your attitude and then hopefully you may reach a point at which you've become enlightened enough to see the true greatness in the Amercian dream rather than be so pitiful in disrespecting everything all before you have done to make it possible for you. The more I come across people like you, the more I worry that we will lose all of the greatness we have simply because so many took it for granted. Has a boyfriend ever had the balls to call you spoiled?

last two comments, didn't bother to read. anyway, IN ADDITION to the problems of carts getting in the way and escaping, the store loses money in hiring and retaining those cart pushers, which makes prices go up for YOU hello

yea but in a gerneral sense, designating a person to push 12 carts back rather than 12 people pushing 12 carts back is more efficient. If everyone pushed their carts back, the additional cost in time to society would amount to about 12 times more than if one designated person did it.

If one person pushes a relatively low average of 12 carts every 5 minutes at $7. 50/hour, you're only paying 5 cents.

I wasn't talking about someone who hasn't developed any skills. I'm talking about people who are forced to work jobs like this because there are no other options. I don't care about your weight, either, Dwight. You can be fat or skinny, or in between. You are lazy if you leave your cart wherever you please. Bottom Line.

I may be immature, but you are lazy.
    We'll call it even.

like i said i do take my carts back, the only point im trying to make is that there's a much better attitude that can be had by someone whos job it is to push carts. i wouldn't keep coming back pointing that out if it weren't so important because whether they realize it or not everyone has the choice to make the best of what they've got, and in fact that's the most important change that needs to take place in each person in order for them to be more suitable to a wider array of opportunities. qualification alone means very little compared to positive attitude, proactivity, and a genuine interest. in order to carry those things with you, it has to begin with where you are currently at no matter what it is.
