Shopping carts
Why can't people put their shopping carts in the designated holding cages? They aren't that far away from your car. Just because you prop it up on one of the tree islands doesn't make it the right place. One minute to walk there and back to your car. It's just fucking courteous. Now I have to walk around in 100+ degree weather and collect those motherfuckers. Don't be so fucking lazy. Think of someone else besides your fat ass for a change.Rating:4.64

#26 is full of shit.
Besides, its a shitty job, but someone has to do it. I used to push carts, and yeah it blew ass, but I sucked it up and did it anyway (with a little bit of bitching to co-workers about the same problem you have). Tell the store to get more cart corrals or something, believe it or not, they might listen.

Did you seriously not read any of the responses? Yeah, they pay him to take the carts back, but why do you have to be such a lazy asshole and leave your cart all over the place? I really think that is the main issue here. Sure, the guy 'gets paid to do that', but what the hell? Should I start lighting little fires in my house to make sure firemen are doing their jobs? I mean, really, that is the most asinine excuse for being a jackass that I've ever heard.

My sister in law used to manage a grocery store and I remember her saying she had a really hard time keeping employees because of this. What you people that have no clue what you're talking about don't understand is that most grocery stores don't hire people specifically as cart gatherers. No, they hire them as stock people, cashiers, baggers, etc and then if the carts need gathered those people have to stop what they're doing to go do it. So you see, lots of people don't sign on to do this job. People that take a job thinking they're going to work inside out of the elements don't want to be stuck going outside half the day in heat, snow, or rain when they can make just as much money zap frying hamburgers at McDonalds.
Perhaps a lot of you forget that when you're making minimum wage you aren't being paid enough to give a fuck.
And besides, it is really annoying when people are too lazy to walk a whole 30 feet away to put a cart back so when I park my car there are 15 random shopping carts sitting around just waiting to roll into my car. Just like the people that open their doors into the side of my car in parking lots. Are they too stupid to see a 2000 lb piece of bright red metal next to them or are they just too lazy and inconsiderate to care?

I agree with the poster. Putting the fucking cart back is COMMON COURTESY, you lazy idiots. This person chases plenty of carts around all day, and it's probably not the only obligation. There is a place for the carts to be brought by CUSTOMERS so EMPLOYEES can take them inside. Use your fucking brains. If the employee was SUPPOSED to chase around the fucking carts like he had nothing else to do, THAT AREA WOULDN'T EXIST.
The world is full of so many thankless morons.

I used to put my cart back, but I don't anymore. I don't care. I have a small baby who takes priority over your stupid cart's cage.
You get paid to do that. Go to school and get an education and get out of that kind of work. OR suck it up and do your job. Its your choice.

Walking like... 20 yards to the nearest cart collection site takes me about... 45 seconds. And sometimes I run and jump onto the cart and go, "Wheeee!!!!" I'm 24, but I like to act like a 7 year old sometimes.
Seriously. Quit being so fucking lazy, guys.

Oh man don't get me started, all you lazy its-what-they-pay-people-for assholes! If we're too busy running all over the parking lot and neighboring parking lots to collect the carts you fatasses were too lazy to put back in the corral (and those fuckers got heavy when you combined about 6 for my 100 pound frame for several hours at a time) then we really can't be bothered to care if stray carts run into/scratch/dent your precious cars. Karma's a bitch and I dunno about the rest, but they didn't pay me enough to give a shit!

16 why don't you try rounding up a million stray carts by yourself during a busy time, say, day before Thanksgiving while customers are continually leaving more and more and more carts for you to round up with a store imposed limit of 5 carts per trip and keeping in mind that this is not what you signed up for before you go talking out of your ass about how easy it is.
Additionally, let's not forget the Waiter Rule: “A person who is nice to you but rude to the waiter, or to others, is not a nice person.” Going by this rule, most of you are deplorable human beings!

I'm still in highschool, jobs are scarce and I take what I can get. That said, I got a job as a chashier, not a cart pusher. One cart isn't so heavy, but when you get 5, 10, 20 or more, they are a pain to move. They don't steer anymore. So, make my life a little easier and put the stupid things where they belong. It's better for me, and ultimatly it's better for you. If they are safely corralled, the carts won't hit your car. I can't be out there on cart patrol every minute of everyday.
I also resent the idea that some of you people don't think of cashiers as real people or that you think of us as lazy. The fact is, just because we are providing you with a service doesn't mean that you get to treat us like crap. I'll give you a hint, happy cashiers work harder and do more to help friendly customers. You need help to your car? Well if you were nice to me, I'll get someone right away or do it myself. If you were hateful, it could be a while because I'm to busy.

in florida, the grocery stores where i lived never had the places to put the cart back out in the parking lot, so you'd either have to wheel it all the way back to the store-front or abandon it. everyone abandoned it. its the store's fault for not installing those!
