I am supposed to attend a military ball tonight, and I went to pick up my dress (for the second time). It was supposed to have been altered to let the bust line out. The dress was tighter this time than it was to begin with. It would have popped off the second I went to sit down to dinner. After returning it for the third time to be altered and being told that I couldn't get my money back for it, they actually had the nerve to charge me for the alterations they did to fix the mistakes they made the first time. When I refused to pay they refused to give me the dress. Now I'm out of $250 and a dress. The money is not important to me but I absolutely refuse to pay for something a third time that I was not satisfied with the first two times.Rating:4.50

18I understand the posters fustration. Why didnt she take it somewhere else? How do u know she didnt buy the dress there since they altered it. Also she already paid for it to be done RIGHT why shoud she pay when they didnt do they job right? I dunno about everyone else but being a single mom 250. 00 is a lot of money, I wouldnt just sit back I would demand my money back! Since I am assuming it is to late for the ball?
I have worked in retail it a major chain and it is hell. I worked there for 8 yrs seen some amazing stuff. Worked the cutomer service desk almost got punched in the face been screamed at cuss out layaway was hell during back to school and Christmas. People are rude as hell. I usually took it in stride til one day it just gets to u. Just say after taking so much verbal abuse from this lady who was a complete moron bc she couldnt subtract I ended up cussing her out I didnt last to much longer there. They didnt fire me just moved me out of the dept I was in. I guess 8 years was to long. lol

20Its not always easy to stay in a good mood while working in retail, but you should try. Alot of the general public are idiots, they are rude and inconsiderate, true. But its not the next customer's fault.

Your job was to wait on customers, you are their slave. Acting like a bitch does nothing but create tension. When retailers are bitchy to me I'm just as much of a bitch right back at them, then I get managerfs involved and write to the company. You think you have it hard try working at a fast food joint. One time an asshole ordered his hamburger w/o pickles and someone didn't get the memo. He threw his hamburger at my manager. At least people can't throw their purchases back at you. Retailer women are bitchy especially tho ones at Victoria's Secret. They think that just becasue they work there that they are f'ing models and act like it.
If you want people to be nicer to you go get a college degree and get a better job I did it.

22I work in retail too, and although I'm always courteous to customers, if they start whining, I'm going to offer them the least help possible.
But yeah, I hate other retail workers who get away with things that I'd get fired for. It's people like that that make customers so distrustful of all retail employees.
