Extended Breastfeeding
I'm sick of militant and not so militant breastfeeders spouting off about the World Health Organization's recommendation the women breastfeed their babies for 2 years! All the health benefits of breastfeeding are done with very quickly and if your baby is eating regular food by a year, you can nip the breastfeeding in the bud! LOL! Seriously! If you live in a civilized nation with clean water and access to great food, you child is going to be healthy... You breastfeeding past the point of "babyhood" is merely a comfort tool for you and your baby. Teach your kid how to cope with scrapes with a hug or whatever and teach it how to go to asleep without sucking on mommy's teat!! And frankly, this breastfeeding-when-the-kid-can-talk is bordering on abuse to me. Exactly what is the cut-off for you??!! Seeing a kid draped across its mothers lap, with its feet nearly touching the floor and still sucking on it's mom is gross. You give proud, breastfeeding moms-breastfeeders of BABIES-a bad name!!Rating:1.00

look on youtube "breastfeeding... At 8"... Very disturbing. i am a mother that breastfeeds, my daughter is 7 months old, and at 1 year shes done.

Breastfeeding is gross. It just is, I don't care how many of you say it isn't.
If you want to express the milk with some kind of pump thats one thing but letting your kid latch onto your nipple is just plain disguisting.
This breastfeeding in older kids is borderline abuse IMO.

How is breastfeeding any grosser than drink cow milk, just remember that the milk in that cereal you have for breakfast came out of the tit of an animal that lays in its own shit! Breasts are not designed for playthings (not that they aren't fun) They are for feeding babies. And have you every had a pump on your breast #17, because they are not exactly fast or comfortable, espcially when your nipples are chapped. Im not saying there shouldn't be a cut off, but if it's not your kid leave it up to the parents and pediatrican, surely you have better shit to be pissed off about.
