I'm 24 and I'm a virgin. And I don't think there's a damn thing wrong with that.I'm not necessarily a virgin by choice, meaning it wasn't an active decision, things just happened this way. I think it's completely stupid that people either think you're a prude, a religious freak, or completely gross for not having sex. I'm none of those things. I'm just a virgin. So there.

19Oh! and another thing to the argument about "not by choice". What I meant was that I didn't actively decide to be a virgin (like, for religious reasons or something like that.) My life unfolds day to day and sex just hasn't been a part of it yet. What makes me angry is the people who automatically think that I'm "inept with women" (now that you know I'm a girl we'll switch this to men). I'm attractive, I've dated, I've had a few admirers. Things just happen and we don't get to the sex part. And there's nothing wrong with that.

29You guys are assuming it's a male. I read that thinking female. And I was very close to being in his/her shoes. I've had one serious boyfriend who I slept with and that was only after my virginity was taken from me before that. So, from someone who was close to the situation, I fully understand. It became like a thing that defined me for a while there, but it wasn't even like that. It wasn't that big of a deal to me, I just didn't want to lose my virginity to someone who didn't appreciate me for who I am. That was it. I could see through the bullshit guys fed me and I couldn't let myself think stupidly long enough to just let it happen. And they were at an age of not wanting to settle down and only doing what it takes for sex. I think some of us are just more mature at a younger age and simultaneously too intelligent and with too much self respect to just jump into these games people play. Therefore, we happen to hold our virginity.
