If the "Bug" is the worst thing that VW makes-- as in a car with a lineage developed back in the 1930's which had the world record in car model sales- only to be surpassed by, uh, the Golf platform developed in 1973, creating a whole new market of hatchbacks and a new record in car sales.
What else does Nissan make... Hmm. The Versa. Sexy. The Quest: for all you soccer lovers!
How about the lineage of the G series. Put an Infiniti badge on a Sentra and ask for more money and call it the G20. Nice car. Really. Great entry level car into the world of Japanese "luxury." Congratulations.

i agree w/ what the OP is saying. you are all missing the point.. if VW is so great, then why do tools take off the gay VW grill and replace it with a stock grill to pretend it's an audi when it's clearly not??

It's called modding. I've only seen one dub rock an audi front end and it was a beetle in tucson using an audi tt front end. Now as for infiniti, last time I checked infinti is the american version of nissan. just like lexus for toyota or acura for honda. I've seen hondas with skyline kits, I've seen nissans with evo kits, I've seen civics with integra kits. I've seen a guy that eat the banana at the banana show in oki. People do wierd things.

you're the moron if you don't realize it's a styling choice to take off the grill. No one's trying to convince anyone it's an Audi, they just don't feel the need to flash a brand like the OP with his glorious Nissan. For the money, the 3 series is not overpriced at all, because ALL service and labor is included for the first several years. Meaning, buy the car and fill it with gas- you're done. Besides making Car and Drivers Top 10 for the last 16 years or so (which, by the way, has included the Mk5 GTI for the last 2 years- the only two years the the Mk5 GTI has been available)
Don't know about JD, but Consumer Reports has it at an overall 85/100. For comparison, the top in the "Sporty Car" class is a 92/100. The "would you buy it again" survey has it at 80/100, with the top of class being the 335 at 91/100. The G35 is down there at 71/100, surpassed by things like the Solara (73/100) and Civic (76/100) But it's preferred more than the Scion Tc (68/100) .... But sadly, not by much at all.

I drive a car that gets great mpg, but I also own some toys. I don't need people to see my car and go mmmmm. I have a little turbo diesel jetta. I also have a chevy 2500hd duramax. I'm really tempted to convert to bio diesel now that diesel is retarded. but I get 56mpg with my jetta, I get maybe 18/20 with my truck. If you want to judge me by my daily driver that's fine. I park it outside my garage. My truck inside right next to my wife's wolfsburg jetta. I like driving jetta, my wife's jetta, and my truck when I go to glamis.
