Arabs
There's so much culture and intelligence that served the world way back when... The British were using leeches and the plague was taking Europe over and Arab scholars were pioneering in medicine, mathematics, and translations. However, now ... some've regressed... truely. it baffles me that this minority of extremist-self-mutilating-other-religion-hating of arabs are what's feeding the media. why aren't the normal people who lead normal lives stepping up? those of us who are professors, loving mothers, role model fathers, scholarship-receiving students, progressive thinkers... why are we not breaking the nasty-terrorist-brown-arab stereotype? we come in all colours, religions, mindsets, traditions, and experiences... why not share those instead of letting that idiotic, savage, and disgusting minority feed the media an image that's not truely ours?Rating:5.00

the ones who blow shit up are EXTREMISTS of their religion- just as Christians have extremists (the people that dance with snakes, etc...)
It is only these EXTREMISTS that we hear about on news (i'm guessing the poster watches Fox, too, clearly the most biased news station), not the thousands of muslims who believe in what Islam stands for, which is PEACE, and who renounce the crazy assholes that make their faith look like a psychotic cult. please, for the love of God or Allah or whatever, EDUCATE yourselves, and don't post on here unless you expect to get a response refuting what shit you just wrote.

i lived in egypt for a while, and i met people of every type. smart, rude, intelligent, classy, respectful, sexist, gross, smelly, beautiful, kind, athletic, religious.. arabs are people just like whites or blacks or orientals, it just happens to be the place in the world they live in and their culture. i know a lot of muslims but also part jewish arabs, coptic christians, greek orthodox..
a lot of the men are hairy as well, but not all.
one thing for most of the egyptians i know is they all are SUPER friendly, as soon as you meet people you are friends with them pretty much. the barriers are different, i found, then in western culture.

The thing everyone forgets in our WASP culture is there are sick, twisted Christians just like there are sick, twisted Muslims. I wish the Arab population had an outlet to combat this stereotype of the suicide bomber, crazy Arab, but since the US doesn't like people who differ from the WASP stereotype, it's pretty much impossible. I mean, seriously, does the polygamous sect in Texas that just got busted or the father that kept his child locked in a room raping her for years in Northern Europe really represent Christian values (both were Christian)? NO! But the media in the US pairs these stories with WASPs discussing how terrible these actions are. Unfortunately, in the US we lack Arabs who are invited to speak on TV after a suicide bombing and discuss how terrible that bombing was. That's the real problem that people of non-Caucasian descent have to combat in the US.
