Cigarette-Smoking Asshats
God, people that do this piss me off.
This also applies to people that have the audacity to throw garbage out of their car windows as well.

Look the point is don't throw your butts out your car window. I smoke, and I'm not perfect so occasionally I will throw one out the window. But for the most part I try to ditch my butts in a cup or bottle with a bit of water at the bottem. I also try to hit trash cans as often as possible (you gotta put them out first or the trash can catch can fire, oops).

Yet, here you are, doing what you are complaining about, no? Pretty ironic, I must say. Mostly because I could care less what you think; people like yourself are what makes me feel sad for our future. If you don't care about things that matter (i.e. the environment, for example), that's fine, but don't get pissed at people who are trying to better the world, moron.

If you don't care about things that matter (i.e. the environment, for example),
this is the dumbest statement on this whole site. (including the guy that wants a horny transvestite clown to fuck) If you think that a butt thrown out the window of a car (they are biodegradable) has anywhere near the environmental impact of the car or the road, there is no logic to you.

I don't believe that I mentioned that anywhere, but thanks.
My point still stands, however.
P.S. While the butts may be biodegradable, it takes time for things to break down, and during that time, there is trash on the ground because of some lazy jackass (which was my original point).

Maybe you ignorant smokers that think your cigarette butts are biodegradable (which they aren't because the filters are made from a form of plastic) and that your butts don't harm the environment should make sure you know what you're talking about before you spout bullshit.
There are also a lot more important environmental issues besides just being unsightly.

I would like to let you know (for at least the second time that I've stated it...) that cigarettes are a useless (and disgusting) luxury while cars are often needed to provide incomes for families. You can try to cover up your douchebaggish ways with your twisted logic, but it doesn't really work out that way.

I would have to agree;
I am a smoker (who wishes to quit), but just because one is unable to stop (or prefers) abusing
themselves, it doesn't mean you have any right to impose your habit, or its refuse on others or on our home, the Earth!

"cars are needed to provide incomes for families"
according to scientific and biblical estimates, ill let you take your pick, man has been around for thousands or millions of years. Cars have been around for one hundred. they are really both unnecessary and abusive of the environment. But of course, you use one and not the other so you try to rationalize that ciggarettes are evil and the extra few degrees the global temperature rises is necessary.
i would kick you goddamn ass if the wonderful wonderful nicotine sludge in my lungs wouldnt leave me winded

Wow, you're such a genius. I mean, really. Your logic is really shining through here. But, you're right. Cars have not been around nearly as long as people. However, some form of transportation HAS been needed to get people from point A to point B. Welcome to the 21st Century, where that form of transportation is a vehicle.
While I agree that cars in general are bad for the environment, there is no denying that they are frequently a necessity (I am excluding SUVs, sports cars, other unnecessary vehicles in this) for people to reach far distances. You have to face the facts: people commute to work, trucks have to carry cargo from place to place, and people are living further away from cities more and more frequently. Let's not forget trucks, either, since they are what carry your cigarettes to and from places. But they are bad for the environment, too, so you're just basically doubling the negative impacts on our society.
P.S. I'm not so naive as to think that cars aren't bad for the environment. If you actually read my original rant, however, you would see that I'm complaining about the jerks that throw their garbage on the ground, which no matter what way you look at it, is disgusting.

If everyone moved closer to the city, that would more than negate the negative effects of the trucks that bring me my delicious smokes. Also, you are sort of a douchebag. I mean, you go and create a poll where the only options are to agree with you, or claim to be a douche. What?? Do you work for the Bush administration or something?? It is the same kind of argument. Let me smoke and toss, and ill let you drive your goddamn car, and when we pass each other on the street, we can shake hands and give each other the sly smile of understanding that comes with the knowledge that we are both responsible for the irreparable raping we are inflicting on our planet, completely ruining it for future generations. (.0000000000001% of this raping comes from ciggarettes thrown out the window)
