Response to MLK Day Rant
How about this: When we freed the slaves, perhaps we should have invested in sending them home to Africa. It's the least we could have done, right? I mean, how insensitive of us to not apologize and pay for their ticket home. Maybe they would have been happier, trying to squeeze a living out of sand, blood, and tears. I'm all for it. Typical airfare (from Los Angeles to South Africa, since that is the most expensive and longest flight I could find using Orbitz) is 2,390 USD. That includes taxes, and this is more than it would cost from any other American city, or at least similar for any major airport. Okay, so we have how many black people in America? 39 million, or about 13.1% of our population. So, total cost of Operation Black Exodus is: $93,210,000,000, or about the (dated, not current*) net worth of Microsoft. We'll go ahead and double that to 180 billion USD for relocation throughout Africa and for people that need transportation to nearby US airports. So, we're at ~180 billion USD. I know, I know. For all of you history buffs, we tried this already. We set up a colony in Liberia in 1822. HOWEVER, it was a colony, thus indirectly ruled by Americans and their puppets. Then, there was a coup, and the country has been in ruins since. We would avoid that this time. Let the Africans govern Africans. That has worked for so long. When was the last African civil war? Okay, so we set up a country, meanwhile heavily suppressing the native population and reuniting long lost relatives on the way. I'm thinking the chief exports of this country could be Rap and R&B, in addition to diamonds, oil, freedom fighters, revolution, rebellion, rubber, iron, slaves (for other countries, like China, not the US), mercenaries, AIDS (for research only!), athletes, and bling. The US would be their main consumers, financial backers (only of practices that the US deems ethical*), and weapons providers (second class, one step behind American weapons). The service industry would be impeccable, what with their expansive experience (janitorial, maintenance, food service, slav... um). Tourism would soar. Obama could be president. Rice could manage foreign affairs. It could really work, and the influence would spread through all of Africa faster than AIDS in a displacement camp. We did this after World War II, remember? Sent all the displaced Jews to Israel. Same idea.Seriously guys, this is total satire. Please don't think I'm serious. Damn...

Slavery also exists in the Far East, South America, the Middle East and to some extent in our own country (depending upon whose definition of "slavery" you prefer). Most of this is thanks to the huge corporations that we buy all of our crap from.

I know Africa is not a country. I am aware that there are over 45 African countries, some free, some not. All of them with many different cultures. I accidentally wrote that once. You got me! Good for you.
My comment about our current war has nothing to do with Africa, I'm talking about Iraq. I said, "think of our current war." I'm talking about our aspirations to take another, weaker country's resources, e.g. oil.
I didn't mention "the war in Africa" in any part of my post. Read it again buddy.
The Sahara has many exports. Look that up too.
The slavery in Africa is based on a caste system. Do some research. Rich people enslave poor people, who are not really "slaves" because they are paid and have some freedoms. It's not slavery based on, something like, say "you have darker skin than me, you are not a real person. I am going to make you work for nothing and beat you and then rape your little sister," which is what white people did. It was more like a punishment for criminals, or the result of a lost battle between tribes, where the losers would be forced into slavery. When you take the race element out of it, it is still evil, but at least it's not based on the color of your skin. Black people don't enslave other black people because they are black. get it right, my point was that your idea is retarded, and if it is satire, it is garbage, and no one with an education would consider that funny.

Are you aware that the pyramids were not built by jewish slaves? There was no such thing as a judaism when the pyramids were built. The pyramids were built by free egyptians who thought they were appeasing a "god" (their pharaoh) by building the pyramids.

I was not aware of that but after doing some reading it appears that archaeologists now believe the the pyramids were built by free laborers and not slaves.

Here is my theory (in the scientific sense, meaning it is backed up by tons of facts: like the gravitational theory)
Black people who grow up in a black culture are very ignorant. They treat others like pieces of shit.
Black people who grow up around a mixed or white culture are very educated and respectful to everyone.
I have had mostly negative encounters with black people. They are rude and ignorant and treat me like crap. I was nothing but nice to them, but thanks to the treatment I received from them, I have now developed racists attitudes. I was raised to be tolerant to all cultures, but my tolerance is now gone.
(I would rant about white trash too, but that is an entirely different subject.)

wow..listen to u people..the guy who said he was treated like crap and now hates blacks..how many times did this happen..4..5 10 times..did it not just blow ur mind that someone who does not know u would treat u that way..hello...how would u cope in life if that happened that many times a week. Your whole being is shaped early in life..how u think people see you. I'll be the FIRST to say black folks need to step up their game but to just shake off everyones view of them and of their surroundings and be some super human is hard for ANY human.
I keep hearing how violent we r..we dont perform experiments on mass groups of people..infect them with things just to see what happens..we were not involved in nukeing another country..now thats violence on a different level. All this is crazy..both races need healing..I'll be glad when the aliens come and straighten us all out but they know were crazy and confused..

I overheard in a RadioShack one knuckle dragger announcing to another that "I's donse takes balfs inda winna times" and the other agreed with enthusiastic animal antics as though she did not either. I absolutely could not believe my ears.. but then again it does not surprise me.
No wonder any school system/public place of this time one may walk into smells like fermented crap.
